Resumo: The growing success of musical reality shows over the last 20 years is linked to the reconfiguration of television as an agent and mediatic center of the music industry. This research takes as its object the musical reality shows, with corpus as The Voice USA. The objective is to investigate the role of bodies that present themselves in the legitimization of cultural consumption patterns in the music market and, to that end, will find itself in a kind of 'molding process' of the body in a pattern produced not only to musical point of view, but also to several other segments, composed by costumes, makeup, stage performance (theatricality) and choreography (dance). The hypothesis is that biopolitics applied by the program and improved over the course of their seasons turn bodies-candidates into bodies-commodities, intervening directly in the music industry and the markets it involves. The research will be based, above all, on the concept of biopolitics, by Michel Foucault (2008); in the concept of convergence and connection, by Henry Jenkins (2008, 2014); in the Corpomedia Theory, by Katz and Greiner; in the control society, by Gilles Deleuze (2013); and in the concepts of public and opinion, by Gabriel Tarde (2005). The methodology will use the bibliographic review and a field research in the corpus, formed by two seasons of the program

The methodology will use the bibliographic review and a field research in the corpus, formed by two seasons of the programO sucesso crescente dos reality shows musicais, nos últimos 20 anos, está ligado à reconfiguração da televisão como agente e centralidade midiática da indústria fonográfica. Essa pesquisa toma por objeto os reality shows musicais, tendo como corpus o The Voice USA. O objetivo é investigar o papel dos corpos que lá se apresentam na legitimação de padrões de consumo cultural no mercado da música e, para tal, se deterá em uma espécie de ‗processo de moldagem‘ do corpo em um padrão produzido não apenas para atender o ponto de vista musical, mas também a vários outros segmentos, compostos por figurino, maquiagem, performance no palco (teatralidade) e coreografias (dança). A hipótese é a de que as biopolíticas aplicadas pelo programa e aprimoradas ao longo de suas temporadas transformam corpos-candidatos em corpos-commodities, intervindo diretamente na indústria musical e nos mercados que ela envolve. A investigação se fundamentará, sobretudo, no conceito de biopolítica, de Michel Foucault (2008); no conceito de convergência e conexão, de Henry Jenkins (2008, 2014); na Teoria Corpomídia, de Katz e Greiner; na sociedade de controle, de Gilles Deleuze (2013); e nos conceitos de público e opinião, de Gabriel Tarde (2005). A metodologia empregará a revisão bibliográfica e uma pesquisa de campo no corpus, formado por duas temporadas do programaCoordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPESapplication/pdfhttp://tede2.pucsp.br/tede/retrieve/48018/Erika%20Silva%20e%20Souza%20de%20Almeida.pdf.jpgporPontifícia Universidade Católica de São PauloPrograma de Estudos Pós-Graduados em Comunicação e SemióticaPUC-SPBrasilFaculdade de Filosofia, Comunicação, Letras e ArtesReality shows musicaisBiopolíticaCorpomídiaIndústria musicalMusical reality showsBiopoliticsCorpomediaMusic tradeCNPQ::CIENCIAS SOCIAIS APLICADAS::COMUNICACAOReality shows musicais: do corpo-candidato ao corpo-commodityReality musical shows: from body-candidate to body-commodityinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/masterThesisinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessreponame:Biblioteca Digital de Teses e Dissertações da PUC_SPinstname:Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (PUC-SP)instacron:PUC_SPTEXTErika Silva e Souza de Almeida.pdf.txtErika Silva e Souza de Almeida.pdf.txtExtracted texttext/plain197063https://repositorio.pucsp.br/xmlui/bitstream/handle/21846/4/Erika%20Silva%20e%20Souza%20de%20Almeida.pdf.txt6ea3de45cba0d557e3f2a206dba34194MD54LICENSElicense.txtlicense.txttext/plain;
