Resumo: The intercropping corn with green manures of the Fabaceae family has been studied as an alternative to supply nitrogen (N), via biological fixation (NBF). Increasing soil organic matter contents and nutrient cycling. However, the Fabaceae species and its density in the intercrop alters the competition patter and demanding studies to optimize the intercrop between Fabaceaes and corn. Therefore, this work aimed to evaluate N availability in the soil, growth, nutritional state and grains yield of corn intercropped with different densities of Crotalaria spectabilis Roth and Cajanus cajan (L.) Millsp in organic system. The study was conducted on crop year of 2017/18, at UFSCar/Araras, SP. Experimental design was of randomized blocks with four repetitions. Treatments consisted of four corn intercrops with: MC5) C. spectabilis - 5 plants.m-1; MG5 C. cajan - 5 plants.m-1; MCG10) C. spectabilis and C. cajan - 10 plants.m-1, five of each species; MCG6) C. spectabilis and C. cajan - 6 plants.m-1, tree of each species, and a lateral control treatment, M) monocultural corn, cultivated distancing six meters from the fabaceas. It was evaluated corn leaf area index (IAF), dry matter (MS) and Falker chlorophyll index (ICF), at phenological stages V4, V8 and VT; leaf micronutrients contents at VT and yield at R6. For the fabaceas, dry mass (MSF) was accessed at corn stages of V4, V8, Vt and R6 and nutrient accumulation at R6. To nitrogen accessible was analyzed by NH4- and NO3- quantification of nifH gene in the soil, at corn phenological stages of V2, V4 and VT. It was observed reduction in grains yield of corn in increases of fabaceas density in intercrops (MCG10), as the pigeon-pea (MG5), because maximized competition interspecific. On the other hand, the intercrop with C. spectabilis (MC5) increased corn dry matter. For the nutritional state the intercrops with fabaceas (MCG6, MG5 and MC5) increases corn phosphorus and potassium leaf content and, increases in fabaceas density in intercrops (MCG10) maximized in nutritional competition, decreases corn phosphorus, potassium and sulfur contents. Not observed increases in corn nitrogen leaf content in presence fabaceas. It nitrogen access in the soil, simultaneous intercropping of C. spectabilis and C. cajan with corn (MCG6) reduces soil contents of ammonium and nitrate but increases corn ICF in comparation others intercrops, indicating nitrogen absorption in the soil by corn plants. Greater fabaceas dry matter amounts increases nifH gene quantity in the soil.

Sabe-se que a espécie e a densidade de fabáceas no consórcio alteraram os padrões de competição interespecífica e demandam estudos adicionais para otimizar seus efeitos positivos no consórcio com o milho. Dessa maneira, objetivou-se avaliar a disponibilidade de nitrogênio (N) no solo, o crescimento, o estado nutricional e a produtividade de grãos do milho em consórcio com diferentes densidades de Crotalaria spectabilis Roth e Cajanus cajan (L.) Millsp, no sistema orgânico. O estudo foi conduzido na safra 2017/18, na UFSCar/Araras, SP e o delineamento experimental foi o de blocos casualizados com quatro repetições. Os tratamentos consistiram em quatro consórcios de milho com: (MC5) C. spectabilis - 5 plantas m-1; (MG5) C. cajan - 5 plantas m-1; (MCG10) C. spectabilis e C. cajan - 10 plantas m-1 (cinco plantas de cada espécie); (MCG6) C. spectabilis e C. cajan - 6 plantas m-1 (três plantas de cada espécie) e uma testemunha lateral, M) milho solteiro. Para o milho foram avaliados índice de área foliar - IAF, matéria seca - MSM e índice de clorofila Falker- ICF, nos estádios fenológicos V4, V8 e VT; teor de macronutrientes foliar em VT e, produtividade de grãos em R6. Para as fabáceas avaliou-se a matéria seca (MSF) nos estádios V4, V8, VT e R6 do milho, e o acúmulo de macronutrientes em R6. A disponibilidade de N foi avaliada quanto aos teores de amônio (NH4-) e nitrato (NO3-) e a quantificação do gene nifH no solo em V2, V4 e VT. Observou-se redução no crescimento e produtividade de grãos do milho com o aumento da densidade de fabáceas (MCG10) e no consórcio com guandú-anão (MG5), devido a potencialização da competição interespecífica. Por outro lado, o consórcio com crotalária (MC5) proporciona incrementos na produção de MSM. Quanto ao estado nutricional do milho os consórcios com as fabáceas (MCG6, MG5 e MC5) aumentaram os teores foliares de fósforo (P) e potássio (K) e, o aumento da densidade de fabáceas (MCG10) acarreta em competição interespecífica nutricional, reduzindo os teores de P, K e enxofre (S) foliar do milho. Não foram observados incrementos nos teores de N do milho na presença das fabáceas. Para a disponibilidade de N no solo, o cultivo simultâneo de C. spectabilis e C. cajan com o milho (MCG6) reduz os teores de NH4- e NO3- no solo e em contrapartida, aumenta o ICF no milho em comparação aos demais consórcios, sugerindo a absorção do N do solo pelo milho. A maior produção de MSF (MG5 e MCG10) aumenta a quantidade do gene nifH no solo.Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (CAPES)CAPES: 001porUniversidade Federal de São CarlosCâmpus ArarasPrograma de Pós-Graduação em Produção Vegetal e Bioprocessos Associados - PPGPVBA-ArUFSCarAdubação verdeCajanus cajan (L) MillspCrotalaria spectabilis RothFixação biológica de nitrogênioLeguminosasGreen manuringLeguminousNitrogen biological fixationCIENCIAS AGRARIAS::AGRONOMIACIENCIAS BIOLOGICAS::MICROBIOLOGIANutrição e disponibilidade de nitrogênio no consórcio de milho orgânico com diferentes densidades de fabáceasNutrition and nitrogen availability in organic maize intercropped with different densities of fabaceasinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/masterThesisOnline6006009af1cd22-8643-4a51-a4e4-186d385d1db0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessreponame:Repositório Institucional da UFSCARinstname:Universidade Federal de São Carlos (UFSCAR)instacron:UFSCARORIGINALBONFANTI_Leila_2019.pdfBONFANTI_Leila_2019.pdfapplication/pdf916478https://repositorio.ufscar.br/bitstreams/355e2e42-f971-4399-8fff-b9315b0e1ea8/download5bd0f6a0a7046bb1a982c76d30699f4bMD58trueAnonymousREADLICENSElicense.txtlicense.txttext/plain;
