Resumo: This master's thesis aims to demonstrate the problems related to the efficiency of services provided by extrajudicial notary offices in Brazil, before and after the implementation of technological innovations and digitization. It focuses on how the transition from manual processes to advanced computerized systems, as well as the application of new legislation and information security policies, have impacted the efficiency, speed, convenience, and legal security of notarial and registry acts. The research examines the challenges and the adaptation needs of extrajudicial notary offices to this new technological paradigm, in addition to analyzing the relevant legislation, information security policies, and technological management practices implemented in the offices, aiming to improve the delivery of services to society. The study contributes to the understanding of the relationship between technological innovations and efficiency in the provision of public services, indicating pathways for future developments in the field.

Ela foca em como a transição de processos manuais para sistemas computadorizados avançados, bem como a aplicação de novas legislações e políticas de segurança da informação, impactaram a eficiência, agilidade, comodidade e segurança jurídica dos atos notariais e registrais. A pesquisa examina os desafios e as necessidades de adaptação das serventias extrajudiciais a esse novo paradigma tecnológico, além de analisar a legislação pertinente, as políticas de segurança da informação e as práticas de gestão tecnológica implementadas nas serventias, visando à melhoria da prestação dos serviços à sociedade.
