This dissertation projects a line about the type or better, the letters contained in the latin alphabet, since its first rise, still as pictogram, in its uncestral proposal as a signal, on Mesopotam, 4.000 years ago, till the actual days, when the suport is not a stone but the computer screen.The birth of typing, in its embrionary fase, pictografic, ideografic, and afterwards fonografic, till become alfabetic writing, reflected, reflects and will reflect the social behavior. As draw, it reflected the cuneiform phase, the manuscript, the mecanized gothic, the styles: renascentist,the art noveau, the art deco and the pop art. Recently, the grafism style as urban art, that reflects the draws within this art ,when fonts drawn based in such grafisms, found in the streets of big cities, were digitalized by Type Foundries, and offered this way, as the newest proposal of typography font design for the market. It also discuss the type condition when it became virtual and its influence on actual typography that is resulting in a new linguistic behavior, the sincopade language usade in internet by youngers and teenagers as a new writing conduct, a language already discovered by the Mass Media, when it uses the emoticon and the sincopade language as a new comunication form.
