A modelagem matemática no Ensino Fundamental: um estudo dos conceitos mobilizados por professores em uma atividade de geometria

Resumo: This research aims to analyze the contribution of the training process conducted in a course on mathematical modeling, from an educational material developed by the research group GPECOM facing teacher education as the use of Mathematical Modeling. Analyzed specifically as the phases of modeling were mobilized in room after travel. It is a participant observation with a teacher in a public school in the city of Pocinhos, addressing topics of Geometry. The elaboration of the course activities, meetings with teachers and use their knowledge in the classroom of elementary school room were done collaboratively involving researchers, teachers and students using the basic experimental design Lesh and theoretical contribution of Bassanezi, Biembegut and Barbosa, in person and remotely addressing issues of modeling, involving local contexts. Specifically, we observed the phases of Mathematical Modeling used in intervention from the planning to the implementation phase of modeling activities, analyzing teacher performance and the way he and the students worked. We conclude that the ten stages suggested in the course, six were developed completely, partially two and the last two were not addressed, indicating the predominance of teaching for obtaining a solution, not working the adequacy and the refinement of the solution obtained.

Analisamos especificamente como as fases da Modelagem foram mobilizados em sala após a realização do curso. Trata-se de uma observação participante feita com um professor de uma escola pública do município de Pocinhos, abordando conteúdos de Geometria. As atividades de elaboração do curso, encontros com os professores e utilização dos seus conhecimentos em sala de aula do Ensino Fundamental foram realizadas de forma colaborativa envolvendo pesquisadores, professores e alunos do fundamental utilizando o design experimental de Lesh e do aporte teórico de Bassanezi, Biembegut e Barbosa, de forma presencial e a distância, abordando questões de Modelagem, envolvendo contextos locais. Especificamente, observamos as fases da Modelagem Matemática utilizadas na intervenção desde o planejamento até a fase de execução das atividades de modelagem, analisando a atuação do professor e a maneira como ele e os alunos trabalharam.
