Resumo: This dissertation has an epidemiological, exploratory, quantitative and transversal design, with the general objective of analyzing the mental health of public servants at the Paraíba Court of Justice after the COVID-19 pandemic. Between April and May, 2023, an online protocol was applied with the sociodemographic questionnaire and the Depression, Anxiety and Stress Scale (DASS-21), culminating in three studies. 194 public servants participated, with an average age 47 year-olds (SD = 8.3 years); majority female (55.7%). The first study checked for symptoms of depression and anxiety. Descriptive and inferential statistical analyzes were performed. 47.9% expressed symptoms of depression and 49.6% symptoms of anxiety, ranging from mild to extremely severe levels. 75.8% were infected by COVID-19. At the significance level of p < 0.10, symptoms of depression were associated with the variables skin color (p = 0.07) and length of service (p = 0.06). The gender variable was associated with anxiety (p = 0.10). People who had been infected by COVID-19 did not show a significant association with symptoms of depression (p = 0.12) and anxiety (p = 0.44). The presence of depression and anxiety among public servants of the Paraíba judiciary had high levels. The evidence demonstrated that the contamination by COVID-19 was not statistically related to the existence of depressive and anxious symptoms. The second study investigated stress levels. Multivariate statistical techniques, multiple comparison analysis were used and the thresholds of the items of the DASS-21 stress subscale were estimated using Item Response Theory. 36.6% of employees had stress within the normal range; 34.4% of them had mild symptoms; 15.5% had moderate symptoms; 10.3% had severe symptoms; and 7.2% had more severe symptoms of stress. COVID-19 diagnosis, post-COVID status, insufficient sleep, and overwork were associated with higher levels of stress. The physical activity variable was associated with low levels of stress. The high stress of public servants is associated with factors related to COVID-19 and the time dedicated to work, while physical activity is associated with lower stress scores. The third study verified how symptoms of depression, anxiety and stress influence each other and which symptoms act as bridges between these groups. Network analysis was used to map symptom tracked by DASS-21. The stress items “difficult to calm down”, “feeling that I was always nervous”, “feeling agitated” and “finding it difficult to relax” were central symptoms in the activation of symptoms of depression and anxiety. “Feeling that I was a little emotional/sensitive” from the stress community points to an activator for the co-occurrence of depressive and anxious symptoms. The network analysis identified the influence between DASS-21 symptoms of depression, anxiety and stress, highlighting specific symptoms of stress that can act as a bridge for the concomitant occurrence of depressive and anxious symptoms. Through different analyzes it was possible to investigate the correlation between symptoms of depression, anxiety and stress tracked by DASS-21 and advance the understanding of the mental health of public servants in the Paraíba judiciary.

Entre abril e maio de 2023 foi aplicado um protocolo on-line com o questionário sociodemográfico e a Escala de Depressão, Ansiedade e Estresse (DASS-21), culminando em três estudos. Participaram 194 servidores, com idade média de 47 anos (DP = 8,3 anos); maioria do sexo feminino (55,7%). O primeiro estudo verificou a presença de sintomas de depressão e ansiedade. Foram realizadas análises estatísticas descritivas e inferenciais. 47,9% expressaram sintomas de depressão e 49,6% sintomas de ansiedade, variando do nível leve ao extremamente severo. 75,8% foram infectados pela COVID-19. Ao nível de significância p < 0,10, os sintomas de depressão foram associados às variáveis cor da pele (p = 0,07) e tempo de serviço (p = 0,06). A variável sexo se mostrou associada à ansiedade (p = 0,10). Ter sido contaminado pela COVID-19 não apresentou associação significativa para sintomas de depressão (p = 0,12) e ansiedade (p = 0,44). Sintomas de depressão e ansiedade em servidores do judiciário paraibano foram elevados. As evidências demonstraram que ter sido contaminado pela COVID-19 não foi estatisticamente relacionado à existência de sintomas depressivos e ansiosos. O segundo estudo investigou os níveis de estresse. Foram empregadas técnicas estatísticas multivariadas, análise de comparações múltiplas e os limiares dos itens da subescala estresse da DASS-21 foram estimados por meio da Teoria de Resposta ao Item. 36,6% apresentaram estresse dentro da normalidade; 34,4% sintomas leves; 15,5% sintomas moderados; 10,3% sintomas severos; e 7,2% sintomas graves de estresse. Diagnóstico de COVID-19, condição pós-COVID, sono insuficiente e excesso de trabalho foram associados a níveis mais altos de estresse. A variável atividade física esteve associada a níveis baixos de estresse. O estresse alto dos servidores públicos é associado a fatores relacionados a COVID-19 e ao tempo dedicado ao trabalho, enquanto a atividade física se apresenta como aliada a escores mais baixos do estresse. O terceiro estudo verificou como os sintomas de depressão, ansiedade e estresse se influenciam e quais sintomas atuam como pontes entre esses grupos. A análise de rede foi utilizada para mapear os sintomas rastreados pela DASS-21. Os itens de estresse “difícil se acalmar”, “sentir que estava sempre nervoso”, “sentir agitado” e “achar difícil relaxar” apresentaram como sintomas centrais na ativação de sintomas de depressão e ansiedade. “Sentir que estava um pouco emotivo/sensível” da comunidade de estresse aponta como ativador para coocorrência de sintomas depressivos e ansiosos. A análise de rede identificou a influência entre os sintomas de depressão, ansiedade e estresse da DASS-21, destacando sintomas específicos de estresse que podem funcionar como ponte para ocorrência concomitante de sintomas depressivos e ansiosos. Por meio de diferentes análises foi possível investigar a correlação entre sintomas de depressão, ansiedade e estresse rastreados pela DASS-21 e avançar na compreensão sobre a saúde mental dos servidores públicos do judiciário paraibano.application/pdfUniversidade Estadual da ParaíbaPrograma de Pós-Graduação em Psicologia da Saúde - PPGPSUEPBBRPró-Reitoria de Pós-Graduação e Pesquisa - PRPGPCIENCIAS HUMANASSaúde mentalCOVID-19Servidor públicoPoder JudiciárioSaúde mental em servidores públicos do Tribunal de Justiça da Paraíba após pandemia de Covid-19Mental health in public servants of the Court of Justice of Paraíba after the Covid-19 pandemicinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/masterThesisSilva, Josevânia dahttps://orcid.org/0000-0003-3344-3791Chiapetti, Nilsehttps://orcid.org/0000-0002-7110-8866Camêlo, Edwirde Luiz Silvahttps://orcid.org/0000-0003-3686-927Xhttp://lattes.cnpq.br/1696321149610614https://orcid.org/0009-0001-5644-2006https://lattes.cnpq.br/2670341419799220Souza, Éverton Procópioinfo:eu-repo/semantics/embargoedAccessporreponame:Repositório Institucional da Universidade Estadual da Paraíba (UEPB)instname:Universidade Estadual da Paraíba (UEPB)instacron:UEPBTHUMBNAILDS - Everton Procopio de Souza.pdf.jpgDS - Everton Procopio de Souza.pdf.jpgGenerated Thumbnailimage/jpeg2937https://repositorio.uepb.edu.br/bitstreams/4ffd2db4-ab75-4284-a262-7650972b150f/downloada22db36a2879edd7aa0412dec5f8c5a7MD58falseAnonymousREADTermo de Depósito BDTD.pdf.jpgTermo de Depósito BDTD.pdf.jpgGenerated Thumbnailimage/jpeg4647https://repositorio.uepb.edu.br/bitstreams/0977a525-d073-4ff6-8267-bb9606cb4d38/downloada2cc7543bebb6c0162f90656b41aecc9MD59falseAnonymousREAD2999-12-31LICENSElicense.txtlicense.txttext/plain;
