Resumo: Knowledge of the genetic variability of sesame is primordial to forward of improvement programs. To advance in this segment is crucial to have as much information on the main characteristics belonging to the sesame crop. Morphological, agronomic and molecular particulars are ways to study the genetic diversity, in order to identify sources of promising germplasm. The objective of this study was to evaluate the genetic variability among sesame genotypes using morphological and molecular markers. Data were subjected to methods of statistical analysis, which was chosen by cluster analysis, where the measure is effective and enables grouping of genotypes in classes, measured by the similarity. Were analyzed 36 genotypes of Sesamum indicum L. belonging to germplasm bank of EMBRAPA ALGODÃO. The experimental design was a randomized block, with experimental plots consist of three rows of three meters in length, with spacing of 1m x 0.20m. Ten oligonucleotides used was specific to sesame. ANOVA was adopted to evaluate quantitative variables, and the multicategorical method for qualitative data. Tocher and UPGMA methods for evaluation of materials were used. It was observed that UPGMA analysis showed better results for the cluster analysis. The agronomic and molecular markers were main contributors to the study of diversity among the accessions, enabling identifying characteristic of interest as precocity, and degree of similarity. It was observed the results to identify genetic variability of accesses investigated the germplasm bank sesame which can be applied in the breeding program.

Para avançar nesse segmento, é indispensável que se tenha o máximo de informações sobre as principais características pertencentes à cultura. Os parâmetros morfológicos, agronômicos e moleculares são meios de estudar a diversidade genética, com intuito de identificar fontes de germoplasmas promissores. Objetivou-se com este trabalho avaliar a variabilidade genética entre genótipos de gergelim por meio de marcadores morfoagronômicos e moleculares. Os dados obtidos foram submetidos a métodos de análises estatísticas, optando-se pela análise de agrupamento, na qual a mensuração é efetiva e possibilita o agrupamento dos genótipos em classes, de acordo com a semelhança. Foram analisados 36 genótipos de gergelim da espécie Sesamum indicum L., pertencentes ao BAG da Embrapa Algodão. O delineamento experimental adotado foi de blocos casualizados, com parcelas experimentais constituídas de três fileiras de 3 metros de comprimento, com espaçamento de 1 m x 0,20 m. Dez oligonucleotídeos específicos para gergelim foram usados para as análises moleculares. A ANAVA foi adotada para avaliar as variáveis quantitativas e o método multicategórico para avaliar os dados qualitativos. Os métodos de agrupamento Tocher e UPGMA foram utilizados para avaliação dos acessos. Os marcadores agronômicos e moleculares foram os mais contributivos para estudo da diversidade genética e permitiu identificar características de interesse como precocidade nos genótipos BAG 591 e BAG 649 e grau de similaridade, reunindo os mais similares nos grupos 2, 3 e 4. O método UPGMA apresentou melhor resultado para a análise de agrupamento.
