This research has as general objective to analyze the subject-work-health relations for workers of institutions for the care of children and adolescents. To this end, the adopted theoretical-methodological design is supported by principles of Psychodynamics of Work, which offers us important elements as it discusses the subjective aspects mobilized in the encounter of the subject with his work situation. Data collection took place through semi-structured individual interviews with 17 workers. The interviews were recorded and later assessed through the Core Analysis of Sense. Based on the results, the following considerations were evidenced: the effectiveness of the Policy, as it is operationalized in daily life, contradicts the norms recommended by the technical guidelines for the functioning of the reception service, with emphasis on the absence of prerequisites for contracting services. professionals and the inefficiency of qualifications and training. Associated with this transgression of the service's operating regulations, there is the context of the sexual division of labor and gender relations, elements that enhance work overload. In this context, even though the interviewees brought in their discourse the existence of positive experiences at work, the inexistence and insufficiency of resources that support the worker to perform the work, exposes this group of workers to experiences of suffering, with elements already present in their lives. speeches that point to illness. Thus, it is expected that this study will contribute to the field of mental health at work, as well as to the strengthening and restructuring of the Institutional Reception Policy, as it is carried out in the daily lives of the Units, providing opportunities for contributions to institutional reception spaces both for workers and children and adolescents.
