Resumo: The use of microorganisms to mitigate the negative effects of drought has been investigated in some plant species. For sesame (Sesamum indicum L.), an oleaginous species with good phenotypic plasticity, its cultivation has expanded as an off-season crop in the Cerrado and Semiarid regions of Brazil, it is important that studies be conducted to evaluate its performance under little or irregular rainfall distribution, as water stress is a problem that generates imminent losses for small and medium producers, especially in the Northeast region or even in conditions of second crop cultivation, after soy or cotton cultivation. This work aimed to investigate the interaction of bacilli-based inoculants with sesame genotypes under water deficit. The experiment was conducted in a greenhouse at Embrapa Algodão (Campina Grande, PB) with two sesame genotypes (BRS Seda and BRS Anahi) and four inoculants (Bacillus subtilis pant001, ESA 13, ESA 402, and M143) in pots with capacity for 20 L, filled with free-textured soil, previously analyzed at the Soil Laboratory of Embrapa Algodão. The pH and fertility were adjusted according to soil analysis recommendations. The design was completely randomized with five replications and six treatments: (i) without nitrogen (absolute control); (ii) with nitrogen (ammonium sulfate kg ha-1); (iii) four bacilli-based inoculants; with and without water stress. From the 30th day after emergence, watering was suspended for eight days and the plants were subjected to analysis of physiological parameters: stomatal conductance (gs); photosynthesis (A); transpiration (E) and internal CO2 concentration (Ci), using the infrared gas analyzer (IRGA); From the data obtained, the instantaneous efficiency of carboxylation (EiC) and the efficiency of water use (EWA) were calculated. On the last day of water stress, leaves were collected for biochemical analysis [superoxide dismutase, catalase, ascorbate peroxidase, free proline content, nitrogen content, chlorophyll a, b and total (a+b) and carotenoid content]. At the end of the experiment, the agronomic parameters were analyzed: plant height; stem diameter; number of capsules per plant; shoot and root dry mass; and weight of a thousand seeds. Data were analyzed using the SISVAR version 5.7 statistical program, subjected to analysis of variance and comparison of means by the Tukey test (p≤0.05) and submitted to the Shapiro-Wilk normality test. The results revealed a positive effect of inoculants for all agronomic and physiological variables. Leaf nitrogen analysis showed greater accumulation in the stressed treatments, with a significant difference between treatments with and without inoculation. Biochemical measurement showed a significant effect for proline, superoxide demutase, ascorbate peroxidase, catalase and photosynthetic pigments. Considering the final production, the ESA 13 strain established a better interaction with the BRS Anahi genotype and the ESA 402 strain with the BRS Seda genotype, with an increase of 49% and 34%, respectively, for the weight of a thousand seeds, when compared to nitrogen treatment under water stress conditions. Through these data, a potential synergistic effect of the inoculants to the sesame plants is identified, implying a beneficial and bio-sustainable action from a productive chain with growing potential in the world market due to its nutritional quality.

Para o gergelim (Sesamum indicum L.), uma espécie oleaginosa e que apresenta boa plasticidade fenotípica, seu cultivo tem se expandido como cultura de safrinha na região do Cerrado e Semiárido brasileiro, é importante que estudos sejam conduzidos para avaliar seu desempenho em condições de pouca ou irregular distribuição pluvial, pois o estresse hídrico é uma problemática que gera perdas eminentes para pequenos e médios produtores, principalmente na região Nordeste ou mesmo em condições de cultivo de segunda safra, pós cultivo da soja ou algodão. Este trabalho objetivou investigar a interação de inoculantes a base de bacilos com genótipos de gergelim, sob déficit hídrico. O experimento foi conduzido em casa de vegetação na Embrapa Algodão (Campina Grande, PB) com dois genótipos de gergelim (BRS Seda e BRS Anahi) e quatro inoculantes (Bacillus subtilis pant001, ESA 13, ESA 402 e M143) em vasos com capacidade para 20 L, preenchidos com solo textura franca, previamente analisado no Laboratório de Solos da Embrapa Algodão. O pH e a fertilidade foram ajustados de acordo com as recomendações da análise do solo. O delineamento foi inteiramente casualizado com cinco repetições e seis tratamentos: (i) sem nitrogênio (testemunha absoluta); (ii) com nitrogênio (sulfato de amônio kg ha-1); (iii) quatro inoculantes a base de bacilos; com e sem estresse hídrico. A partir do 30º dia após a emergência a rega foi suspensa por oito dias e as plantas submetidas a análises do parâmetros fisiológicos: condutância estomática (gs); fotossíntese (A); transpiração (E) e concentração interna de CO2 (Ci), utilizando o analisador de gás infravermelho (IRGA); a partir dos dados obtidos foram calculadas a eficiência instantânea da carboxilação (EiC) e a eficiência do uso da água (EUA). No último dia de estresse hídrico coletou-se folhas para as análises bioquímicas (superóxido dismutase, catalase, ascorbato peroxidase, teor de prolina livre, teor de nitrogênio, teores de clorofila a, b e total (a+b) e de carotenoides). Ao final do experimento foram analisados os parâmetros agronômicos: altura de planta; diâmetro do caule; número de cápsulas por planta; massa seca da parte aérea e de raízes; e peso de mil sementes. Os dados foram analisados no programa estatístico SISVAR versão 5.6, submetidos à análise de variância e a comparação de médias pelo teste de Tukey (p≤0,05) e submetidos ao teste de normalidade de Shapiro-Wilk. Os resultados revelaram efeito positivo dos inoculantes para todas as variáveis agronômicas e fisiológicas. A análise de nitrogênio em folha mostrou maior acúmulo nos tratamentos estressados, com diferença significativa entre os tratamentos com e sem inoculação. A mensuração bioquímica mostrou um efeito significativo para prolina, superóxido dismutase, ascorbato peroxidase, catalase e pigmentos fotossintéticos. Considerando a produção final, a estirpe ESA 13 estabeleceu uma melhor interação com o genótipo BRS Anahi e a estirpe ESA 402 com o genótipo BRS Seda, com incremento de 49% e 34%, respectivamente, para o peso de mil sementes, quando comparado ao tratamento com nitrogênio, em condições de estresse hídrico. Mediante estes dados identifica-se um potencial efeito sinérgico dos inoculantes às plantas de gergelim, implicando em ação benéfica e biossustentável a partir de uma cadeia produtiva com crescente potencial no mercado mundial pela sua qualidade nutricional.Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPESapplication/pdfUniversidade Estadual da ParaíbaPrograma de Pós-Graduação em Ciências Agrárias - PPGCAUEPBBRPró-Reitoria de Pós-Graduação e Pesquisa - PRPGPPró-Reitoria de Pós-Graduação e Pesquisa - PRPGPSesamum indicum L.Water stressDiazotrophic bacteriaCIENCIAS AGRARIASSesamum indicum LBactérias diazotróficasEstresse hídricoRizobactérias promotoras de crescimento e mitigação da restrição hídrica em gergelimGrowth-promoting rhizobacteria and water restriction mitigation in sesameinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/masterThesisRocha, Geisenilma Maria Gonçalves dahttp://lattes.cnpq.br/2597238593552049Arriel, Nair Helena Castrohttp://lattes.cnpq.br/6436236152448398Lima, Liziane Maria dehttp://lattes.cnpq.br/7350753350522784http://lattes.cnpq.br/0381123193063910Lima, Giliard Bruno Primo deinfo:eu-repo/semantics/embargoedAccessporreponame:Repositório Institucional da Universidade Estadual da Paraíba (UEPB)instname:Universidade Estadual da Paraíba (UEPB)instacron:UEPBTHUMBNAILPDF - Giliard Bruno Primo de Lima.pdf.jpgPDF - Giliard Bruno Primo de Lima.pdf.jpgGenerated Thumbnailimage/jpeg2740https://repositorio.uepb.edu.br/bitstreams/722db712-5db8-4935-aafa-2b293716749e/downloadce1af095beaa9e781e8b51350ecce396MD57falseAnonymousREADPDF - Termos de Depósito da BDTD.pdf.jpgPDF - Termos de Depósito da BDTD.pdf.jpgGenerated Thumbnailimage/jpeg5952https://repositorio.uepb.edu.br/bitstreams/3578d513-53ff-42fe-9413-bb8946685d77/download7468f4018876142d81492ddbc3f47bbfMD58falseAdministratorREADORIGINALPDF - Giliard Bruno Primo de Lima.pdfPDF - Giliard Bruno Primo de Lima.pdfPDF - Termos de Depósito da BDTDapplication/pdf1467573https://repositorio.uepb.edu.br/bitstreams/33c948b8-de69-4abb-882e-a12a2304adc5/download6da7299016bb5ac038f2b4f5ed03c216MD54trueAnonymousREADPDF - Termos de Depósito da BDTD.pdfPDF - Termos de Depósito da BDTD.pdfPDF - Termos de Depósito da BDTDapplication/pdf205629https://repositorio.uepb.edu.br/bitstreams/728429e6-ab32-4964-a817-10dbd5758ebb/downloaddddd596b6a6782c9eb3875ca0bd356d9MD55falseAdministratorREADLICENSElicense.txtlicense.txttext/plain;
