The present study developed in this dissertation presents a proposal of educational practices for the teaching of History of Elementary School final years of Basic Education, through narratives of childhood memories. The subjects of this research were the students of the 9th Year of Elementary School at Escola Estadual de Ensino Fundamental Professor Rangel, in Ingá - PB and their families, developed during the academic year of 2021. The research adopted as a methodological path a qualitative approach having as method, action research, because in its assumptions, it performs a diagnosis and analysis of a given situation, by proposing changes to the set of subjects involved that lead to an improvement of the analyzed practices” (SEVERINO, 2008). Through the narratives of childhood memories, didactic activities were developed in the classroom that allowed establishing, through the perspective of changes and permanence, relationships between the narratives and associating them with the historical context of the place. As a didactic product, an activity book was prepared entitled “History Activities Notebook: a proposal with narratives of memories”. In relation to the theoretical contributions that we used for the development of this research, the conceptions of the following authors stand out: Walter Benjamin; E.P. Thompson; Maria Carolina B. Galzerani, Dominique Julia, Jorge Larrosa, Circe Bittencourt, Miguel G. Arroyo and Bernard Charlot.
