The current work verses about a qualitative research, having as its type the pedagogical research. The subjects of the research are students from EJA (Youth and Adoults Education), phase IV, belonging to the Escola Municipal São Domingos (Municipal School São Domingos) that is situated in the district of São Domingos in the city of Brejo da Madre de Deus – PE. The object of our research is the use, as a pedagogical tool, of the interlacement between Ethnomathematics and Mathematical Molding. Within this view, we aim to answer the following guiding question: How to, didactically, relate the mathematical knowledge applied in the process of clothing confection to school knowledge? Considering this provocation, we had, as the general objective: to analyze possibilities of, in the teacher’s pe dagogical practice, based on a sociocultural posture, relating the Mathematics used on clothing confection to the Mathematics teaching in EJA. Our hypothesis is that, a Mathematics teaching in EJA that respects and values sociocultural aspects, in connection to Molding, in a significative way, may contribute to an integral formation of the student and reduce the aversion for Mathematics. For data gathering, we have used the participating observation, with data registers through voice recording and pictures when necessary, and questionnaires with objective and subjective questions, that have followed steps inherent to a work in the field of Mathematical Molding. For data interpretation, we have used Lawrence Bardin’s Content Analysis. As a result, we have had a great students participation on the proposed activities, based on dialogue, world knowledge valuation and interaction, specifically of the Mathematics applied in the clothing confection, considering Freirian principles, parting from the problematization of real situations, like the confection of flared skirts, the fabric weighting, and the relation of the symmetry with fabric prints and embroidery. As also, an accentuated valorization of learning mathematics.
