Chronic pain is one of the conditions that most affect the last few years, being the main reason for seeking out the public health system in Brazil. Fibromyalgia is characterized as a generalized and nonspecific chronic musculoskeletal pain syndrome with imprecise location, characteristics and onset. Thus, it must be treated prioritizing multidisciplinary management and not just pharmacological ones. Therefore, Pain Education can produce better treatment adherence, generating personal and behavioral benefits and, consequently, improving quality of life. The purpose of this research was to develop a pain Education app (EnfrentaDOR) aiming to modulate perception of pain in fibromyalgia patients. The application consists in a series of questions and answers, as well as additional information about fibromyalgia and the possible changes resulting from it, improving the treatment and acceptance of the process. With clear and accessible language, the app will provide each individual with a personalized socio-demographic and clinical questionnaire in order to be more effective in its application in education. According to the literature, the education of fibromyalgia patient is very important for the control of symptoms, helping with the treatment. Knowing that a well-prepared and oriented individual can deal more positively and minimize the consequences that the disease can generate. Therefore, EnfrentaDOR allows fibromyalgia patient education in a playful and dynamic way through an easy-to-use application.
