Resumo: This work shows an approach between Paulo Freire’s thought and the lower classes Childhood Education. The aim of the research was to investigate how the Paulo Freire’s theory can be resignified in different contexts toward Childhood Education. To accomplish this task works of Paulo Freire and messages sent by scholars of his work were analyzed. These sources pointed to memories about the relation of the Paulo Freire’s work and the concern about childhood and children. The justification of this work is set to a comprehension, from Freirian assumptions, to the condition of oppression on which many children from the lower classes are submitted by the fact of being devoid of fundamental guarantees such the right of Education, housing, health care, good quality leisure, among other aspects. The difficulties of access to such guarantees contribute for the dehumanization process of these children, taking into account these are limits to their ontological vocation of “be more”: the humanization. This is a qualitative research of empiric-theoretical bias. The theoretical framework was build on the Paulo Freire’s work, and from authors of History, Philosophy, Anthropology, Childhood Sociology, Pedagogy, Children’s Education and critics of Childhood Education. The sources used in this research are of bibliographic, empirical and documental nature. The methodological procedures used were: the analysis of Paulo Freire’s work from 1991 to 2000 period; literature review of academicals works that approach the Freirian assumptions on the Childhood Education and testimonies analysis obtained by established contacts with Freire’s work scholars. The main considerations of this study were: Freire mentioned on many of his works about distinct Childhoods and Children. In relation of the academicals works many are near of the Freirian assumptions concerning to the understanding of the child as a subject that is and is being and also with about pedagogical space on which the children may develop their autonomy. Concerning the impression of the Freire’s work most of the scholars mentioned the reductionism presented on the readings of Paulo Freire’s work; some readers do not associated Freirian assumptions with questions related to Childhood Education. Under this perspective it was possible to make it evident that the Freirian thought is one of the most significant for changing on the Education scope, especially on the rescue of the Childhood Education for lower classes children.

O objetivo da pesquisa foi o de investigar como a teoria de Paulo Freire pode ser ressignificada nos contextos referentes à Educação da Infância. Para tanto, foram realizadas análises das obras de Paulo Freire e de mensagens enviadas, por alguns dos estudiosos de suas obras, nas quais estavam expressas reflexões a respeito das relações da obra de Freire e preocupações com infâncias e crianças. A justificativa desta pesquisa está voltada para a compreensão, a partir de pressupostos freirianos, da condição de opressão as quais muitas crianças das classes populares estão submetidas pelo fato de serem destituídas de garantias fundamentais como o direito à educação, habitação, saúde, lazer de qualidade, dentre outros aspectos. A dificuldade de acesso a estas garantias contribui para a desumanização destas crianças, visto que são limites impostos à sua vocação ontológica do ser mais: a humanização. Esta pesquisa foi qualitativa e de caráter teórico-empírico. O referencial teórico foi composto por obras de Paulo Freire e de autores da História, da Filosofia, da Antropologia e da Sociologia da Infância, da Pedagogia, da Educação Infantil e críticos da Educação da Infância. As fontes empregadas na pesquisa foram de caráter bibliográfico e empírico documental. Os procedimentos metodológicos utilizados foram: análise das obras de Paulo Freire do período de 1991 a 2000; revisão de literatura de trabalhos acadêmicos que aproximam os pressupostos freirianos a Educação da Infância e análises de depoimentos obtidos a través de contatos estabelecidos com estudiosos dos trabalhos de Freire. As principais considerações deste estudo foram que: Freire fazia menção, em muitas de suas obras, sobre diferentes infâncias e crianças. Em relação aos trabalhos acadêmicos, muitos aproximaram os pressupostos freirianos ao entendimento da criança como sujeito que é e está sendo e também com a organização do espaço pedagógico para que as crianças possam desenvolver a sua autonomia. Quanto às impressões dos estudiosos do trabalho de Freire, a maioria, fez menção ao reducionismo das leituras referentes à obra de Paulo Freire; alguns não associaram os pressupostos freirianos com as questões relacionadas Educação da Infância e existiu um grupo de respostas dos estudiosos que destacaram múltiplos e consideráveis aspectos que permitiram afirmar que o pensamento de Paulo Freire pode ser ressignificado nos contextos referentes à Educação da Infância. Sob essa perspectiva, foi possível evidenciar que o pensamento freiriano é um dos mais significativos para mudanças no âmbito da Educação, em especial o resgate da Infância e da Educação das crianças das Classes Populares.Made available in DSpace on 2017-07-21T20:31:48Z (GMT).
