The present investigation is primarily motivated to analyze the standardization of the gay male through heteronormativity, questioning, through the examination of the phenomenon of heteronormatized gay bodies, the processes of subject subjection and shaping to which individuals are subjected. To achieve this, we sought some of its representations in the theatrical works "Angels in America," "Homem feito," and "Tom na fazenda." Drawing from the concepts of "non-hegemonic masculinities" and "dissident sexuality," we aimed to analyze how the gay male is represented in theatrical and cinematic artistic productions. Each stereotype in its time of representation carries a different meaning. Thus, the representation of the effeminate, marginalized, and drug-using gay individual over a certain period served the purpose of ridiculing and promoting prejudice through the avenues of anomaly and pathology, in accordance with the religious, legal, and medical norms that determined social formatting. However, in response to this depreciation, the stereotype of the normalized gay was constructed, which is considered an ideal and socially tolerated profile. This representation divided opinions within the gay community because it replicates heterosexual values and moralities in those who subvert the norm in some way or for some reason
