Resumo: This work has analyzed the impact of Project Profissionalizar Teresina, from Fundação Wall Ferraz, organization that belongs to Prefeitura Municipal de Teresina, and it is related to the influence of insertion of newcomers in the job market. For that, It was used primary data through the fieldwork, with some information collected in questionnaries applied to 374 students who has been finishing the course who were qualified in 2007. The results of the research were analyzed with a methodology based on describing statistics, completed with econometric model, the kind of logistic regression. The results revealed that there was a better distribution of the income among the people who belong to the Project and raised the numbers of new workers in the job market, consequently there was a reduction of unemployed. One aspect that deserve attention is the number of people who approval the learning that they had learned in the Project. The result got toward the Project is that only Professional courses of short time are nor enough to guarantee more good results if they do not get together with other complementary actions.

Para tanto, utilizaram-se de dados primários obtidos por meio de pesquisa de campo, com informações coletadas através de questionários aplicados junto a 374 concludentes, que foram qualificados em 2007. Para análise dos resultados da pesquisa foi utilizada uma metodologia baseada em estatística descritiva complementada com modelo econométrico, do tipo regressão logística. O resultado apurado revelou que houve uma melhoria no perfil de distribuição de renda do público alvo do Projeto, aliada a uma contribuição moderada na inserção dos egressos no mercado de trabalho e, consequentemente, uma redução pouco significativa no número de desempregados. Um aspecto que merece destaque foi o alto índice de aprovação pelos beneficiários no que se referente à aprendizagem dos conteúdos ministrados, na percepção dos mesmos.
