Resumo: This study aims to investigate the history of the Pedagogy Tutorial Education Program (PET) of the Faculty of Education (Faced) at the Federal University of Ceará (UFC). PET Pedagogy is a long-term program, which aims to foster an emancipatory model of education, in which students have the freedom to choose the training path most appropriate to their worldview, providing, in this sense, means and support mechanisms for the completeness of a visionary education. To this end, the research is based on the concept of memory as the meeting of the past in the present and on the construction of history as a science that produces systematized and methodical knowledge, as well as on lived experience to absorb new learning. In the methodology, qualitative research was used as a way of understanding the subjectivity of the study subjects. The technique used was the questionnaire as a source for data acquisition and the information collected was verified through content analysis, with the formulation of guiding categories of the main aspects that were collected. In the discussions we found memories that define PET Pedagogy as a social educator, in addition to characteristics that corroborate its importance at the undergraduate level and many contributions that emphasize the quality training proposed by the Program. In the final considerations, we note that it is the movements of each scholarship holder that make the Program exist as a training entity. Evoking the memory of lived experiences transports us back in time, connecting our personal history with UFC, FACED and PET, especially with PET Pedagogy.

O PET Pedagogia é um programa de longo prazo, que pretende fomentar um modelo de educação emancipatório, em que o discente tem liberdade para escolher o caminho formativo mais adequado com sua visão de mundo, proporcionando, nesse sentido, meios e mecanismos de apoio para a completude de uma educação visionária. Para tanto, a pesquisa fundamenta-se no conceito de memória como sendo o encontro do passado no presente e na construção da história como uma ciência produtora de conhecimento sistematizado e metódica, assim como na experiência vivida para absorver novos aprendizados. Na metodologia foi utilizado a pesquisa qualitativa, como forma de conhecer a subjetividade dos sujeitos do estudo, a técnica utilizada foi o questionário como fonte para a aquisição de dados e as informações coletadas foram averiguadas por meio da análise de conteúdo, com a formulação de categorias norteadoras dos aspectos principais que foram coletados. Nas discussões encontramos memórias que definem o PET Pedagogia como um educador social, além de características que corroboram com sua importância a nível de graduação e muitas contribuições que enfatizam a formação de qualidade proposta pelo Programa. Nas considerações finais, constatamos que são os movimentos de cada bolsista que fazem o Programa existir como entidade formadora.
