Resumo: | In this work, we will present an introduction to the Kolmogorov-Sinai metric entropy, which is an invariant of transformations that preserve a probability. We will also discuss the Lyapunov Exponents as a tool to describe the asymptotic behavior of a transformation. The main result of this work is the Ruelle Inequality, which establishes a relationship between the two concepts above, on a compact Riemannian manifold, through an inequality. Finally, we highlight the importance of compactness in this context, showing an example due to Riquelme where the inequality is not satisfied. |

O principal resultado desse trabalho é a Desigualdade de Ruelle, que estabelece uma relação entre os dois conceitos acima, em uma variedade Riemanniana compacta, através de uma desigualdade.
