Resumo: Resolution of problems is a skill that can and must be developed in everyone, because it can help to reach a sucess in professioanl and academic settings. When we talk about resolution of problems, we must not focus just find a solution, but we need identifying, analyzing and creating strategies. Involuntarily, we develop criative potential, critical thinking and autonomy. Math is the most disliked matter betwen students, and to understand better this subject we do a search using problem solving methodology.Firstly, a questionnaire was applied to know the main difficulty. After analyzing the questionnaire, we solved math problems using tips taken from the book “The art of problem solving” by George Polya. Finally, a second questionnaire was applied to kwon f the problem solving methodology made mathematics easier to students

Ao falar em resolução de problemas matemáticos, não se deve focar apenas em chegar em uma resposta final, e sim em identificar, analisar e criar estratégias. Involuntariamente, o potencial criativo, a criticidade e autonomia é desenvolvida juntamente. A matemática é uma das disciplinas com a maior rejeição entre os alunos do ensino médio, e, portanto, para entender um pouco sobre esse assunto foi feito uma pesquisa de campo utilizando a metodologia de resolução de problemas. Inicialmente, foi aplicado um questionário para saber quais eram as principais dificuldades na área. Após a análise do questionário, foram desenvolvidos problemas matemáticos utilizando dicas retiradas do livro “A arte de resolver problemas” de George Polya.
