Influência de diferentes métodos de controle de doenças fúngicas do cafeeiro (Coffea arabica L.) na qualidade dos grãos

The appropriate handling of foliar diseases, such as rust and cercospora of the coffee plant, have become extremely important to the production of good quality coffee, mainly due to the huge caused damage, being the main responsible for the high cost and decrease in the culture productivity. This way, it becomes extremely important the knowledge of technical procedures and fitossanitary products used by rural producers, and also the effect caused by them in the coffee quality, ensuring better conditions so that the grain quality isn´t lost in any of the production phases. The objective of this work was to verify the influence of different methods of fungical disease control of coffee plant (Coffea arabica L.) in the grain quality of parchment and floaters coffee. Practices took place in Nepomuceno town, MG, agricultural years 2002/2003 and 2003/2004.The used outline was the one totally casualized with subdivided plots, using (04) repetitions, in factorial schedule 2x3x2, involving two harvests, three fungicide treatments (03), and two kinds of processing, parchment and floaters coffee. The plots were submitted to applications with three kinds of treatments, systemic fungicide with active ingredient Pyraclostrobin + Epoxiconazole, trade name Ópera®, cupric fungicide, trade name Cobox®, and non-treated witness with fungicides. The quality evaluations of the grains took place through physical and chemical analyses. The results showed that the fungicide treatments don't affect the variables related to the coffee´s quality. The fungicide treatment with Ópera® showed better results in the preservation of the floater coffee´s quality, when considered the variables non-reductors and total sugars.
