O experimento foi conduzido na Estaçăo de Hidrobiologia e Piscicultura de Furnas, município de Săo José da Barra, MG. O delineamento experimental utilizado foi o inteiramente casualizado, em um esquema fatorial cruzado. Utilizou-se a análise de variâncias para avaliar os componentes de variâncias materno e paterno. Para a taxa de fertilizaçăo, foram encontradas as seguintes contribuiçőes relativas em relaçăo à variaçăo total: mãe = 46,05%, pai = 13,64% e erro = 40,31%. Já para a taxa de eclosão, estas contribuiçőes foram de: mãe = 2,89%, pai = 8,9% e erro = 88,2%. Para as variáveis de larvas, encontraram-se as seguintes contribuiçőes relativas em relação a variaçăo total: diâmetro do saco vitelínico - mãe = 50,88% e pai = 50,70%; comprimento total - mãe = 50,87% e pai = 50,76%. Em pós-larvas, estas contribuições foram: peso - mãe = 50,42% e pai = 49,80%; comprimento total - mãe = 50,87% e pai = 50,83%; comprimento padrão - mãe = 50,88% e pai = 50,83%. Para alevinos com 33 dias de idade, peso - mãe = 22,49% e pai = 26,27%; comprimento total - mãe = 45,52% e pai = 46,16%; comprimento padrão - mãe = 45,42% e pai = 46,15%. Em alevinos com 63 dias de idade, estas contribuiçőes foram de: peso - mãe = 46,54% e pai = 46,99%; comprimento total - mãe = 45,70% e pai = 46,32%; comprimento padrão - mãe = 45,68% e pai = 46,33%. Concluiu-se que a mãe tem maior influência porcentual para a taxa de fertilizaçăo e que o pai teve contribuição porcentual um pouco maior para variação total da característica taxa de eclosão. Para alevinos a partir dos 33 dias de idade, os pais passam a contribuir semelhantemente para a variação total das características em estudo, devido, provavelmente, à ausência do efeito materno. Entretanto, para que haja a inclusăo destes efeitos para estas características, em programas de melhoramento genético, para aumentar o sucesso reprodutivo do plantel, é necessário um maior número de estudos para reforçar os resultados encontrados nesta pesquisa.The objective of the realization of this work was to evaluate the motherly effect and the fatherly effect over the fertilization rate and also the hatchery over the performance of the larvae and post larvae, and alevines with 33 and 63 days of age, from curimbatá (Prochilodus lineatus). The experiment was conduced at the farm of hydrobiology and psiculture of Furnas, at the São João da Barra country, MG. The experiment outlining utilized was completely randomly in a crossed factorial design. There were utilized the analysis of variance to value the components of variance from the mother and from the father. To the fertilization rate, were found the following contributions in relation with the total variation: mother = 46.05%, father = 13.64% and error = 40.31%. To the hatchery rate, these contributions were: mother = 2.89%, father = 8.9% and error = 88.2%. To the variable of larvae, we can find the following contribution in relation with the total variable: diameter of the yolk-sac - mother = 50.88% and father = 50.70%, total length - mother = 50.87% and father = 50.76%. In the post larva these contributions were: weight - mother = 50.42% and father = 49.80%; total length - mother = 50.87% and father = 50.83%; pattern length - mother = 50.88% and the father = 50.83%. To the alevines with 33 days of age, weight - mother = 22.49% and the father = 26.27%; total length - mother = 45.52% and the father = 46.16%; pattern length - mother = 45.42% and the father = 46.15%. In alevines with 63 days of age, these contributions were: weight - mother = 46.54% and the father = 46.99%; total length - mother = 45.70% and the father = 46.32%; pattern length - mother = 45.68% and the father = 46.33%. We can to conclude that the mother has greater influence to the fertilization rate and the father had a perceptual contribution a litter greater to the total variance of the hatchery. To the alevines starting from 33 days of age, the parents start to contribute equally to the total variance from the characteristics in study, due, probably, because of the absence of the mother effect.
