Resumo: Objective: To determine and correlate Titin and Collagen polymorphisms with vertical jump performance in professional female superleague athletes in Brazil. Material and Methods: One hundred and forty-four professional athletes from the 2017/2018 super league season and 80 non-athletes were evaluated. All were genotyped for the polymorphism of the collagen (rs 1800012) type I gene (GG; GT; TT), and the titin TTN (rs 10497520) gene (CC; CT; TT). Genetic material was collected through the oral smear and collected from crouching and countermoving vertical jumps. To verify the normality of continuous variables, the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test was used. The Z score was used to standardize data that did not follow the normality curve. Continuous variables were represented by mean and standard deviation. Categorical variables were represented by absolute frequency (n) and percentage (%). The univariate General Linear Model (GLM) test was used to compare continuous data between groups. Pearson's chi-square test (X²) / Fisher's test were used to compare categorical variables. The level of significance to be considered was α ≤ 0.05. Results: Evaluated the titin frequency in the athlete group we found 11% of the sample with TT allele, 50.7% with CT allele and 38.4% with CC allele, while in collagen we found 77.3% of this sample with GG allele. , 17% with the GT allele and 5.3% have the TT allele. Regarding the crouching SV and countermovement, the group of athletes presented significant difference in relation to non-athletes. Both groups showed higher performance in countermovemental VS than in the squat SV. For the COL1A1 genotype, the group of athletes and non-athletes, the counter-moving SV was superior in both GG and GT groups, but did not present significant difference in performance in relation to the jumps and groups evaluated. In all titin genotypes the athletes presented superior performance in the VS compared to the non-athletes and showed no difference in the performance in relation to the jumps or groups evaluated. Regarding the positions that play both COL1A1 and TTN showed no significant difference related to the different positions of the game. Discussion: The results showed that there was no significantly proven influence of genotypes on the performance of squat and countermoving jumps in the evaluated groups, however the results showed a tendency of individuals presenting the COL1A1 G allele to show a lower jumps performance in relation to to individuals with the T allele of this gene. In addition, for the TTN gene in individuals with the C allele, they tend to perform squat and countermovement jumps better than individuals who have the T gene. Conclusion: The group of athletes presents difference in the crouching and counter-moving VS compared to the group of non-athletes, and when observing the performance of the jumps between the genotypes, the difference occurred between the TT and GT / TT and GG alleles (p <0.001) in the group. athlete group.

Submitted by Daniella Santos (daniella.santos@ufma.br) on 2021-02-21T02:33:00Z No. of bitstreams: 1 LucenirMelo.pdf: 1455051 bytes, checksum: 09e3210642170ff1a00fef67a9434574 (MD5)Made available in DSpace on 2021-02-21T02:33:00Z (GMT).
