From a psychoanalytic perspective, the study aims to present the function that the academic institution at the time that adolescents are given the measure of socio hospitalization. The unit studied was the first of the eight existing in the city of Belo Horizonte. The theme originated in matters arising out of the professional career of the researcher, revealing the need to question the public policy in an attempt to present the perceptions of adolescents about school. At the end of the research was to analyze the possible relationship between the teenage author of offense, and the school for the fulfillment of the measure. Whith methodological approach based on conversation and content analyzes, we understand that the place occupied by the school when it is deprived of freedom has value when combining the possibility of termination of the measure.
