Fatores de influência no uso de sistemas de informação via internet: proposta de um modelo integrativo

This research aimed at proposing a model that synthesizes the main variables mentioned in the scattered literature on the use of information systems specially systems offered through Internet. In the first stage of the research 116 variables were identified through the analysis of 22 models and theories of evaluation of the use of information systems, already validated in national and foreign literature on the subject. Afterwards these variables were combined into 4 groups of factors according to their characteristics, in relationship to the users, to the system itself, to the system´s provider company and to the system´s user company. The second stage consisted of field work to statistically validate the 4 groups of factors. Data were collected through a survey conducted among users of an Internet information system called Obras on Line. The non probabilistic and intentional sample was composed by 64 construction materials suppliers in the city of Belo Horizonte which are users of that system. Two questionnaires were sent to each company and the return a rate was approximately 63%. The data were statistically analyzed using Factor and Cluster Analysis. The 4 groups of factors were validated and the results show that the variables studied can collaborate to facilitate or obstruct the use of such systems. In a third step, the set of variables was analyzed qualitatively resulting in agglutinative variables, which were used in the synthesis model that prescribes intervening and moderators variables between user satisfaction and use of the system. The proposed model includes influences arising from users of the system, the system´s user company, the system itself and the information system´s provider company. In subsequent proposes to the operationalization and validation of this model.
