Terminologia clínica de enfermagem estruturada a partir dos subconjuntos terminológicos da CIPE®

Introduction: In theory, it is stated that the Terminological Subsets of the International Classification for Nursing Practice support the structuring of a Clinical Nursing Terminology as a guiding instrument for the provision of care in different contexts of health priorities and/or clientele. General Objective: Structure a Clinical Nursing Terminology based on the Terminological Subsets of the International Classification for Nursing Practice developed in the Postgraduate Program in Nursing, at the Health Sciences Center, at the Federal University of Paraíba. Methodological Course: This is methodological research, of an exploratory and descriptive nature, with the objective of structuring an instrument for capturing or intervening in reality, obtaining as an outcome a method that can be represented by a flowchart, a protocol, a list of steps or considerations for other researchers to follow. To carry out this study, three stages were developed: 1st - construction of a bank of concepts of nursing diagnoses, results and interventions relevant to nursing practice, based on scientific productions aimed at the construction and/or validation of Terminological Subsets of the International Classification for Nursing Practice; 2nd - comparison through cross-mapping of the concepts of nursing diagnoses, results and interventions contained in the Terminological Subsets developed in the Postgraduate Nursing Program with the International Classification for Nursing Practice Version 2019/2020, in light of ISO 12:300/2016; and 3rd - organization of the concepts of nursing diagnoses, results and interventions according to the ICNP® Version 1.0 conceptual categorization. Results and Discussion: The study consisted of 20 productions, 13 dissertations and 7 theses related to the construction and/or validation of Terminological Subsets of the International Classification for Nursing Practice, which initially resulted in 1.410 nursing diagnoses/outcomes and 6.518 interventions of nursing. In the end, the Clinical Terminology was composed of 704 nursing diagnoses/results and 4.395 nursing interventions distributed in 250 action verbs. Final Considerations: In view of the above, Clinical Nursing Terminology was structured based on the Terminological Subsets of the International Classification for Nursing Practice developed in the Postgraduate Program in Nursing, at the Health Sciences Center, at the Federal University of Paraíba. This tool has the potential to support Nursing care practice based on content that contemplates and presents the main nursing diagnoses/results and interventions historically structured by the Postgraduate Program, which has the greatest numerical impact of the productions of this type of study in Latin America.
