Esta Dissertação teve como objetivo geral investigar se tais pausas e revisão encerram como causa preponderante reflexões e ajustes relacionados ao conhecimento de norma-padrão ou discursivo do sujeito que escreve. Para isso, o aporte teórico selecionado contemplou autores que defendem conceitos que integram língua, texto e discurso em interdependência. Na discussão sobre língua, foram expostos os níveis de representação da linguagem (epilinguístico/nocional; linguístico/textual; metalinguístico/observacional), sendo a atividade epilinguística compreendida como princípio de linguagem, e a atividade metalinguística, como toda atividade linguística com intenção e certo grau de consciência. Os principais autores convocados são: Culioli (1968; 1995); Benveniste (1976; 1989); Franchi (2012a; 2012b); Taylor (2014); Romero (2019); Souza e Bertucci (2020); Vogüé, Franckel e Paillard (2011); Zavaglia (2010); e Rezende (2008). Sobre a interface texto/discurso, foram debatidas as similaridades e diferenças dos dois conceitos. Houve, ainda, o exame de questões atreladas ao modo de organização textual e sua natureza processual. Além disso, houve o exame sobre a ocorrência de pausas, e a revisão dividida entre edição (superfície) e reescrita (sentidos) (CISLARU, 2015; ADAM, 2019; BAKHTIN, 2016; VOLÓCHINOV, 2017; BRAIT & SOUZA-E-SILVA, 2017; ALLAL, CHANQUOY & LARGY, 2004). O Percurso Metodológico é considerado distinto em âmbito nacional, por não haver amostras encontradas que sejam similares. 22 estudantes de primeiro período de cursos de graduação foram instruídos a elaborar um texto, com um enunciado de produção pré-estabelecido, no processador de textos Microsoft Word. Todos esses procedimentos foram armazenados por meio da utilização de softwares de gravação de tela, mediante consentimento formalizado dos participantes. Neste trabalho, desenvolvemos uma Análise Linguística para investigação da hipótese de haver preponderância de conhecimento discursivo nas dinâmicas dos textos produzidos. A análise foi dividida entre as pausas e a revisão. Sobre as pausas, foram verificadas: a percentagem de pausas ao longo de cada texto; e a relação entre pausas e revisão. Sobre a revisão, averiguaram-se quatro mecanismos textuais (escolha do léxico; intensificação e especificação; paráfrase; reformulação) empregados pelos participantes, por meio dos quais buscou-se analisar as motivações da reescrita. Ao fim desse levantamento, foi demonstrado que a reescrita, com seus objetivos de transformação de sentidos, se sobrepõe à edição. Nas Considerações Finais, é exposta a possível prospectiva de ampliar o estudo ao contexto de ensino de língua.Abstract: Through the analysis of text processing in digital recordings, the frequency of pauses and revision dynamics while writing were observed. This Dissertation had as a general goal to investigate whether such pauses and revision entail reflections and adjustments related to the standard language or discursive knowledge by the writer as a preponderant reason. For this, the theoretical selection included authors who defend concepts that integrate language, text and discourse into correlation. In the discussion about language, the levels of language representation were exposed (epilinguistic/notional; linguistic/textual; metalinguistic/observational), with epilinguistic activity being understood as a principle of language, and metalinguistic activity as any linguistic activity with intention and a certain consciousness. Also, other concepts such as reference system and linguistic creativity were exposed. The main authors are: Culioli (1968; 1995); Benveniste (1976; 1989); Franchi (2012a; 2012b); Taylor (2014); Romero (2019); Souza and Bertucci (2020); Vogüé, Franckel and Paillard (2011); Zavaglia (2010); and Rezende (2008). About the text/discourse interface, the similarities and differences between the two concepts were discussed. There was also an examination of questions linked to the textual organization and its processual nature. Then, it was also examined the occurrence of pauses, and the review classified as editing (surface) or rewriting (meanings) (CISLARU, 2015; ADAM, 2019; BAKHTIN, 2016; VOLÓCHINOV, 2017; BRAIT & SOUZA-E-SILVA, 2017; ALLAL, CHANQUOY & LARGY, 2004). The Methodology is considered different at a national context, considering there are no similar papers found. 22 first-period undergraduate students were instructed to write a text, based on a pre-established required exercise, in the text processor "Microsoft Word". All these procedures were recorded by playing a screen recording software, with the participants consent. In this work, we developed a Linguistic Analysis to investigate the hypothesis that claims there is a preponderance of discursive knowledge in the dynamics of written texts. The analysis was divided between pauses and review operations. In relation to the pauses, the following were investigated: the percentage of pauses throughout each text; and the relationship between pauses and reviewing. About the review operations, four textual mechanisms were investigated (choice of vocabulary; intensification and specification; paraphrase; reformulation) used by the participants, through which we sought to analyze the motivations for rewriting. At the end of this survey, it was demonstrated that rewriting, with its purpose of transforming meanings, overlaps editing.
