Defesa : Curitiba, 25/04/2025Inclui referênciasÁrea de concentração: SociologiaResumo: Esta tese é um estudo cuja temática foi motivada pelas falas de mulheres pescadoras da comunidade pesqueira artesanal, nas cidades de Matinhos e Guaratuba, no litoral do Paraná. As categorias de análise, experiência, cuidado e performance alicerçam o processo teórico e metodológico deste trabalho, fundamentando a pesquisa e a definição das relações que se buscou compreender. Quem são e como se narram essas mulheres pescadoras evidencia as narrativas voltadas às experiências no mundo da pesca. Seguiu-se a perspectiva analítica de gênero a partir de uma abordagem feminista. O objetivo geral foi compreender: a) como são os conteúdos por elas relatados no que tange a sua performance como mulher pescadora frente aos saberes e às necessidades cotidianas de sua vida quando inserida na pesca, na família, na relação com os homens pescadores, no cuidado, nos direitos e na relação com seu corpo e sua sexualidade; b) se elas buscam esses sentidos de autonomia em suas vidas, de nova imagem de si mesmas, de recursos para consumir coisas que precisam, ou o poder em casa de modo a produzir outros lugares do trabalho e do espaço social e cultural que as mulheres podem ocupar. Os objetivos específicos foram: a) compreender esta experiência narrada e situada a partir da pesca visibilizando significados por elas atribuídos ao seu lugar na pesca, suas motivações, seus sentimentos, as suas entregas; b) compreender também, na qualidade de pescadoras, o que elas fazem e como são suas relações com o cuidado em relação ao mar, aos peixes, aos barcos, as questões ambientais, ao sustento da vida e a sua dignidade; c) Analisar como percebem as questões da divisão do trabalho, os estereótipos de gênero, questões ligadas ao corpo e a sexualidade, os estigmas; como grupo e frente a comunidade local. O lugar dessa pesquisa me possibilitou conhecer a prática de mulheres na pesca embarcada e na sala de camarão. Nessas atividades pesqueiras elas sustentam a família; mantêm conflitos; superam dificuldades de relações de gênero, de tensões com a divisão de papéis e lutam frente aos estigmas. Nesse descortinar, essas mulheres pescadoras trouxeram sentidos de autonomia e transformação em suas vidas, envolvendo reflexões sobre novas formas de se enxergar, sobre o uso de recursos que lhes permitam conquistar seus objetivos e sobre como essas mudanças se tornaram impactantes tanto no espaço doméstico quanto nos lugares que ocupam nos contextos sociais e culturais. Da mesma forma a pesquisa evidenciou no desenvolver das suas narrativas, tudo aquilo que para elas não precisava ser mudado, mantendo a tradição nesse contexto culturalAbstract: This thesis is a study whose theme was motivated by the speeches of women fishermen from the artisanal fishing community, in the cities of Matinhos and Guaratuba, on the coast of Paraná. The categories of analysis, experience, care and performance underpin the theoretical and methodological process of this work, grounding the research and the definition of the relationships that we sought to understand. Who these women fishermen are and how they narrate themselves highlights the narratives focused on experiences in the world of fishing. The analytical perspective of gender was followed from a feminist approach. The general objective was to understand: a) how the contents reported by them regarding their performance as women fishermen are in the face of the knowledge and daily needs of their lives when inserted in fishing, in the family, in the relationship with the men fishermen, in the care, in the rights and in the relationship with their body and their sexuality; b) whether they seek these senses of autonomy in their lives, of a new image of themselves, of resources to consume things they need, or of power at home in order to create other places of work and of social and cultural space that women can occupy. The specific objectives were: a) to understand this experience narrated and situated from the perspective of fishing, making visible the meanings they attribute to their place in fishing, their motivations, their feelings, their dedication; b) also to understand, as fisherwomen, what they do and what their relationships are like with regard to caring for the sea, the fish, the boats, environmental issues, the sustenance of life and their dignity; c) to analyze how they perceive the issues of division of labor, gender stereotypes, issues related to the body and sexuality, and stigmas; as a group and in relation to the local community. The location of this research allowed me to learn about the practices of women in boat fishing and in the shrimp farm. In these fishing activities, they support their families; they maintain conflicts; They overcome difficulties in gender relations, tensions with the division of roles and fight against stigmas. In this revelation, these fisherwomen brought a sense of autonomy and transformation to their lives, involving reflections on new ways of seeing themselves, on the use of resources that allow them to achieve their goals and on how these changes have had an impact both in the domestic space and in the places they occupy in social and cultural contexts.
