The present work has as its objective, to carry out a comparative study relating the Bolsa Família Program, with PROGRESA / Opportunities of Mexico and Chile Solidario. It has as its front to analyze the formation period of these policies, along with their main characteristics as a target audience and their entry criteria, proposing a context analysis in their respective countries. Within these parameters, it leads to thinking about issues such as conditionalities and influences of multilateral agencies in the fight against poverty in the Latin American continent, together with the theory of capitalization of the poorest and the breaking of the cycle of intergenerational poverty. Given what was presented, the study has as its core an explanatory work through quantitative research together with a bibliographical review, using materials found in the repositories of the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (CEPAL), of the Research Institute Economic Applied (IPEA) with the quantitative aspect highlighted through an analysis of indicators that were appropriated, but that came from a source of CEPAL itself. Having as a parameter the attempt to associate the indicators with the MDGs (Millennium Development Goals), considering that these programs are born within this outline in an attempt to match these objectives within their design, in the search to use more uniform data for the comparison of these policies with their implementations during different decades of each program, as well as their institutional structures.
