Resumo: | The present study is on competition and strategy on learning and culture organization area, having as central issue the analisis of the transformations that have been faced by a metalurgical company (Coqueiro) for a century of existance. The changes that have been ocurred from external and internal pressures can be valid to the internal public when the ocurrence of cognitive, technical and behavior transformations needed to understand and to see the environment and to start pro actives internal movements. The specific objectives are concerned on finding out what organizational values maintain the dynamics of the changes, discovering factors that generate the commitment, knowing and understanding changes that happened at the founder and the successor epoca and identify the main changes that have ocurred at the company until now. This research justifies itself because of the great changes on competitive markets, making their sections more productive and faster in a way that they can satisfy the expectations of the companies and the markets as well. Two hypotheses werw raised as responsible for this present study: the company has well known values that are spread for all organization and the factors responsible for the dynamics of the changes on each phases, are directly related to the dominant values. The data collected through half-structured interviews, observation and documental analisis werw analyzed by contents Analysis that want to interpretate the interviews texts.According to the CEO of the company, the survival of the company depends on the quality of its products that s why Facas Coqueiro has control and execution plans on knives production process. As time goes by, the knives have been modernized and nowadays, the company survives just because it has kept the same dedication since the foundation epoque. Its credibility has been used not only to conquest markets, investidors, professionals and administrators but also to work as a shield against the opponents. The Bianchini & Cia. Ltda., in order to face a competitive world, bringing good values to the society, ethics, having a good relationship with the environment, contributing to the social and cultural development. The longevity of the company comes from the individual respect, security, pride of the work, social integration, benefits, economic and simbolic rewards. So, through benefits and rewards, the company guarantees quality of life, creating in the worker s mind a simbolic value about the brand Coqueiro as a safety place and a good mother to get not only the physical power and time of the workers but also their hearts and minds. |

Ltda. - Fábrica de Facas COQUEIRO) ao longo de um século de existência. Os objetivos específicos se concentram em descobrir que valores organizacionais sustentam a dinâmica da mudança, descobrir os fatores geradores do comprometimento afetivo , conhecer e interpretar as mudanças ocorridas na fase do fundador e do sucessor e identificar as principais mudanças ocorridas na empresa desde o período de sua fundação até hoje. Esta pesquisa se justifica em função das grandes mudanças nos mercados competitivos onde as empresas atuam, exigindo que os seus setores tornem-se cada vez mais produtivos e ágeis, de forma que possam atender às expectativas da empresa como um todo e também dos seus mercados de atuação. Duas hipóteses foram apontadas como propulsoras do presente estudo: a empresa possui valores altamente reconhecidos e amplamente difundidos por toda a organização e os fatores identificados como propulsores da dinâmica de mudança, em cada uma de suas fases, estão diretamente relacionados com os valores dominantes. Os dados coletados através de entrevistas semi-estruturadas em profundidade, observação e análise documental foram analisados mediante um método denominado de Análise de Conteúdo, que busca levantar inferências e interpretações de um texto originado das entrevistas. Com o passar do tempo a faca foi se modernizando e na época do sucessor a empresa somente sobrevive porque mantém a mesma cautela e dedicação da época e na empresa muitas vezes foi verificado que gerações compram a faca Coqueiro, iniciando pelo avô, o filho e o neto, ou muitas vezes, passando a faca Coqueiro de geração a geração. A credibilidade da empresa tem sido usada tanto para conquistar mercados, investidores, profissionais e admiração tanto para funcionar como escudo na investida dos concorrentes contra a imagem da empresa. A Bianchini & Cia. Ltda., para enfrentar o mundo em todos os seus anos de existência, tem primado em ter bons produtos, ser bem administrada, ser um bom lugar para trabalhar, ter valor agregado para a sociedade, ou seja, ser ética, não decepcionando minorias, respeitando o meio-ambiente, contribuindo para o desenvolvimento social e cultural e ser transparente e respeitadora de compromissos. A permanência na empresa também resulta do respeito ao indivíduo, segurança e confiança na gestão, orgulho do trabalho e da empresa, integração social, benefícios, recompensas econômicas conjugadas com recompensas simbólicas, o apoio que a empresa oferece em situações de crise.
