The structure of land ownership based on family farma can be considered as one of the riches that a municipality or a region may have. However, this category has been studied by researchers linked to several areas of knowledge and worked in various government policies sectors which explains the different conceptions that involve this concept, as well as the relevant challenges and perspectives. Therefore, the study had a problem to analyze the family production, as an articulator agent of the rural space fundamental to the economic development of Dilermando de Aguiar. This research is justified because of its social relevance for the planning of rural areas of Dilermando de Aguiar, since the aim is search to provide subsidies to the municipal managers, for possession of this informations can develop alternatives that aim to boost the productive area and contribute to the local/rural development. In view of these propositions, has as main objective to analyze the family farm of Dilermando de Aguiar, through their agricultural productions. As specific objectives were a) to characterize the main agricultural productions developed by the small producers for the generation of income, in 1997-2015 and also at nowadays; b) To identify which policies are being used in Dilermando de Aguiar, for the small producers remain in their rural areas along with PRONAF, and how is the participation of EMATER and the Municipal Agriculture and Environment policy implementation, and c) To identify the strategies of social reproduction of family farm in Dilermando de Aguiar. Methodologically, the research was structured in steps. First, the theoretical reference was used to define the concepts of the subject in question. At the same time, surveys were carried out in secoudary sources, through data collection. Subsequently, the fieldwork was conducted, in order to observe, in situ, the question under the study.From this perspective, combining the theoretical concepts to the data collected and in order observation, it was possible to interpret and analyze the structure of the family farm in Dilermando de Aguiar. The final considerations starts from the reflection of the characterization of family farm as an alternative of social and economic reproduction of the families wicth cultivate the agricultural productions commented in this research: soybean, rice, beef and dairy cattle, sheep, horticulture, fruit, maize and manioc. This work allowed to understand the importance of the primary sector for the local development, potentializing the diverse niches of the local and regional market. In addition to PRONAF, family farm has assistance and incentives from EMATER and the Municipal Department of Agriculture. In this context, the programs and projects developed by these government agencies gain, in the municipality, ease of access, due to the policies thought to the local reality resulting in greater chances of success. Therefore, it is fundamental to understand the main barriers of local agriculture to subsidize the development of public policies that will contribute to the growth of family agriculture in Dilermando de Aguiar.
