Resumo: This work of dissertation inserts in the line of research in Special Education of the Pos Graduation Program in Education at the Federal University of Santa Maria UFSM. The city of Santa Maria, in Rio Grande do Sul state, has a meaningful path in the discussion about the inclusive education, being considered as a reference in this region. However, the subject which this research is about, what means, autism and psychosis after previous investigation, it was discovered that there were not many data about the scholar life of these pupils in the municipal system of teaching. Having as basis those unexpressive data, this research aimed to deveal if there is any specificity in the educational system in this city that can not answer those pupils. This way, the objective of this study was to investigate how is organized the system of the municipal net of fundamental teaching in Sma to pupils with autism and psychosis. The theoretical support had as basis the educational policies, specially, the national policy of special education in inclusive education perspective (2008) and theoretical formulations about the subject of autism and psychosis to the development of this study, a mapping of pupils with autism and psychosis in the municipal system of teaching was done, with the aim of systematizing the subjects, schools and the teaching structure of pupils with autism and psychosis that are enrolled in the fundamental teaching in the municipal net in Santa Maria. This is a qualitative research that used interviews, questionnaires and a diary as tools for data collection. To analyze the data, a content analysis was applied. As results, there were found eight (8) pupils enrolled and six attending regular schools of fundamental teaching. In schools of this city there are no special classes anymore, those were extinct in compliance with the new inclusive educational policy. These pupils are included in regular classrooms and receive specialized educational care as a support for schooling. The changes in the educational system brought some problem. This way, not all pupils could adequate to the new formulations of the municipal system in the inclusive educational perspective, some we moved to state schools, and the teachers found some obstacles with the new system, working in the perspective f inclusive education. This sense, the role of special education and its target public were the major difficulties found by teachers. By the end of this study, more than finding a solution, the study has as first intention to bring some reflection that can work as a support to the teaching of pupils with autism or psychosis in the city. This way, to think in educational policies does not end in the official paper, the repercussion originated in them, gives life to political orientation, that is way it is necessary to take into account each reality, each subject involved in the process, mainly when it is about the pupils with autism or psychosis.

O município de Santa Maria, no Rio Grande do Sul, tem uma significativa caminhada na discussão a respeito da educação inclusiva, sendo considerado como referência na região. Porém, no tema o qual se refere essa pesquisa, ou seja, autismo e psicose, após investigação prévia, descobriu-se que quase não existiam dados sobre a escolarização desses alunos no sistema municipal de ensino. Tendo como base esses dados pouco expressivos, essa pesquisa buscou desvelar se existe alguma especificidade no sistema educacional do município que este não consegue atender esses alunos. Assim, o objetivo desse estudo foi investigar como está organizado o sistema da rede municipal de ensino fundamental de Santa Maria/RS para os alunos com autismo e psicose. O aporte teórico teve como alicerce as políticas educacionais, em especial, a política nacional de educação especial na perspectiva da educação inclusiva (2008) e formulações teóricas sobre o tema do autismo e da psicose. Para o desenvolvimento deste estudo, foi realizado um mapeamento dos alunos com autismo e psicose no sistema municipal de ensino, com a finalidade de sistematizar os sujeitos, as escolas e a estrutura do ensino dos alunos com autismo e psicose que estão matriculados na rede municipal de ensino fundamental de Santa Maria. Esta é uma pesquisa qualitativa que fez uso de entrevista, questionários e diário de campo como instrumentos de coleta de dados. Para a análise dos dados, foi empregada a análise de conteúdo. Como resultados, foram encontrados oito alunos matriculados e freqüentando seis escolas regulares de ensino fundamental. Nas escolas do município de Santa Maria, não existem mais classes especiais, estas foram extintas em conformidade com a nova política de educação inclusiva. Esses alunos estão incluídos nas salas de aula regulares e recebendo o atendimento educacional especializado como suporte à escolarização. As alterações no sistema de ensino trouxeram alguns problemas. Em função disso, nem todos os alunos conseguiram se adequar às novas formulações do sistema municipal na perspectiva da educação inclusiva, alguns foram remanejados para as escolas do estado, e os professores encontraram alguns obstáculos com o funcionamento do novo sistema na perspectiva da educação inclusiva. Nesse sentido, o papel da educação especial e o seu público-alvo foram as maiores dificuldades encontradas pelos docentes. Ao final deste estudo, mais do que buscar soluções, esta pesquisa teve como intenção primeira trazer algumas reflexões que possam servir de apoio para a escolarização de alunos com autismo e psicose no município.
