Resumo: Genetically modified (GM) plants have potential to transform the agriculture. The increase of areas with these crops shows its impotance, but their risks to human health, animal and the environment should be evaluated. Besides, studies with selectivity of chemical products to parasitoids and predators can allow the use of safer products on plant protection. Therefore, the compatibility of Transorb® Roundup, Roundup Original® and Zapp Qi® on reproductive parameters of the predator Podisus nigrispinus (Heteroptera: Pentatomidae) was evaluate on GM soybean plants tolerance to glyphosate; the effect of the transgenic soybean cultivars on the development of Palmistichus elaeisis Delvare & Lasale (Hymenoptera: Eulophidae) was evaluated; and the toxicity of the Roundup Ready® (glyphosate), the fungicide Folicur® (tebuconazole) and the insecticide Dimilin® (diflubenzuron), Certero® (triflumuron) and Malathion® (malathion) on the development of this parasitoid was evaluated. Podisus nigrispinus was exposed through contamination of plants with the commercial formulations of glyphosate and P. elaeisis by exposure to diet of its host contaminated with these pesticides or by direct contact with pupae contaminated. The commercial formulations of glyphosate did not affect the development, reproduction and population dynamics of P. nigrispinus on transgenic soybeans tolerant to glyphosate and, therefore, they are compatible with the use of this predator in programs of Pest Management on soybean RR. The Malathion caused high mortality of P. elaeisis before its parasitism and therefore they are recomended for biological control programs with this parasitoid. The herbicide glyphosate, the fungicide tebuconazole and the insecticide triflumuron can be recommended for biological control programs with P. elaeisis in soybean crops. The diflubenzuron reduced the sex ratio of this parasitoid in the second generation and it may be used only for rotations of active ingredients in pest management programs. The type of transgenic soybean cultivar to feed the host did not negatively affect the reproductive parameters of P. elaeisis and thus this parasitoid can be used in crops tolerant to glyphosate.
