Resumo: The present work aims at the study of the Roman conquest in the Iberian Peninsula in the High Empire and the reflexes of the Law of the XII Tables both in its historical and legal aspects, based on the Roman Law of the time, used in the Iberian Peninsula and in Rome during the period from 27 BC –284 AD. This one had as its scope of study the context of the Roman conquest in the Iberian Peninsula in the High Empire with the possible laws arising from this situation in the historical aspect. The text seeks to demonstrate the pertinence and relevance of the object of study from a historiographical discussion, using an incursion into bibliographic sources of authors who have dedicated themselves to this analysis. The existing state of the art on the subject was surveyed, finding articles, magazines and academic books, highlighting the cut of the Roman conquest in the Iberian Peninsula.

O texto procura demonstrar a pertinência e a relevância do objeto de estudo a partir de uma discussão historiográfica, utilizando-se de incursão em fontes bibliográficas de autores que se dedicaram a esta análise.
