Resumo: Herein, we report the synthesis of a uncommon secondary building block (hereinafter called Pre-I) as well as four new Co(II) coordination compounds containing the H2mpba2- ligand of formula:[Co2(H2mpba)3][Co(H2O)6]∙2H2O∙0,5DMSO(1), [Co2(H2mpba)3][Co(H2O)6] ∙3H2O∙0.5dpss (2), [Co2(H2mpba)2(H2O)4]∙4nH2O (3) e [Co2(H2mpba)2(CH3OH)2(H2O)2]n∙0.5nH2O∙2ndpss (4) with H4mpba = 1,3- phenylenebis(oxamic) acid and dpss= di(2-pyridyl)disulfide. For the compounds 1-4 two distinct synthetic methodologies were used, where the reaction of the N,N′-1,3- phenylenebis(oxamate) potassium salt (K2H2mpba) with cobalt(II) chloride hexahydrate afforded the compounds 1 and 3 while the reaction of the Pre-I building block with K2H2mpba salt yielded the compounds 2 and 4. The crystal structure elucidation showed that the Pre-I is a mononuclear cobalt(II) complex whose metal center is four-coordinated to two nitrogen atoms from the dpss ligand and two chloride atoms resulting in an unusual tetrahedral geometry. According to X-ray diffraction measurements for 1 and 2, there are two independent crystallography cobalt(II) centers coordinated to three H2mpba-2 ligands forming the triple-stranded dinuclear complex [Co2(H2mpba)3] 2- with negative charge balanced by the cationic coordination complex [Co(H2O)6] 2+ . For 3 and 4, a linear and a zigzag polymeric chain, respectively, is observed with cobalt(II) centers coordinated by H2mpba-2 ligands. Furthermore, crystallographic studies for 2 and 4 showed non-coordinated dpss molecules and the crystal packing driven by hydrogen bonds. In compound 2, a host-guest relationship is observed, since the dpss molecule is hosted in a structural hole. Thus, in this work, are detailed the synthesis and full characterization, and magneto-structural correlation studies of the Pre-I and of four new compounds based on cobalt(II).

Thus, in this work, are detailed the synthesis and full characterization, and magneto-structural correlation studies of the Pre-I and of four new compounds based on cobalt(II).Neste trabalho relatamos a síntese de um bloco construtor (denominado Pre-I), bem como de quatro novos compostos de coordenação contendo Co(II) e o ligante H2mpba2- de fórmulas: [Co2(H2mpba)3][Co(H2O)6]∙2H2O.0,5DMSO(1), [Co2(H2mpba)3][Co(H2O)6].3H2O.0,5dpss (2), [Co2(H2mpba)2(H2O)4]∙4nH2O (3) e [Co2(H2mpba)2(CH3OH)2(H2O)2]n∙0,5nH2O∙2ndpss (4) com H4mpba = ácido 1,3-fenilenobis(oxâmico) e dpss = dissulfeto de di(2-piridila). Para os compostos 1-4, foram utilizadas duas metodologias sintéticas distintas, nas quais a reação do sal N,N′-1,3-fenilenobis (oxamato) de potássio (K2H2mpba) com cloreto de cobalto (II) hexahidratado proporcionou os compostos 1 e 3, enquanto a reação do bloco construtor Pre-I com sal K2H2mpba produziu os compostos 2 e 4. A elucidação da estrutura cristalina mostrou que o Pre-I é um complexo mononuclear de cobalto(II) cujo centro metálico é tetracoordenado a dois átomos de nitrogênio do ligante dpss e dois átomos de cloreto, resultando em uma geometria tetraédrica. De acordo com as medidas de difração de raios X para 1 e 2, existem dois centros metálicos de cobalto(II) cristalograficamente independentes, coordenados com três ligantes H2mpba2- formando o complexo dinuclear [Co2(H2mpba)3] 2- com a carga negativa sendo balanceada pelo complexo de coordenação catiônico [Co(H2O)6] 2+ . Em 3 e 4, uma cadeia polimérica linear e uma em zigue-zague, respectivamente, é observado centros metálicos de cobalto(II) coordenados por átomos de oxigênio de ligantes H2mpba2- . Além disso, estudos cristalográficos para 2 e 4 mostraram moléculas dpss não coordenadas e o empacotamento cristalino regido por ligações de hidrogênio. No composto 2, é observada uma relação hóspede-hospedeiro uma vez que a molécula dpss está hospedada na vacância estrutural. Assim, neste trabalho, são detalhados os estudos de síntese, caracterização e correlação magneto-estrutural do Pre-I e de quatro novos compostos de cobalto(II).Fundação de Amparo à Pesquisa do Estado de Minas Gerais - FAPEMIGapplication/pdfporUniversidade Federal de AlfenasPrograma de Pós-Graduação em QuímicaUNIFAL-MGBrasilInstituto de Químicainfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccesshttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/Complexos de cobalto(II)Ligante oxamatoMetodologia sintéticaLigante nitrogenado.QUIMICA::QUIMICA INORGANICADesenvolvimento de rota sintética de novos materiais híbridos envolvendo o estudo dos parâmetros sintéticosinfo:eu-repo/semantics/doctoralThesisinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersion13282530788267823066006006003139127065238931096-1527361517405938873reponame:Repositório Institucional da Universidade Federal de Alfenas - RiUnifalinstname:Universidade Federal de Alfenas (UNIFAL)instacron:UNIFALCampos, Nathália Rodrigues DeORIGINALTese de Nathalia Rodrigues de Campos.pdfTese de Nathalia Rodrigues de Campos.pdfapplication/pdf3884822https://repositorio.unifal-mg.edu.br/bitstreams/66cf4ae6-dc50-437c-9676-107d25784ea9/downloade4aaa4452b1a77ef004c496714f3d03fMD55LICENSElicense.txtlicense.txttext/plain;
