Resumo: Austenitic stainless steels and duplex stainless steels have good mechanical and corrosion resistance characteristics that make them applicable in various industries. The objective of this work was to process the steels by rapid solidification, with subsequent heat treatment. Microstructural characterizations were carried out under conditions as received, by rapid solidification and in heat treatments. Microstructural characterization was performed using techniques such as: optical microscopy, scanning electron microscopy with energy dispersion analysis and X-ray diffraction. Microhardness, thermal analysis by differential scanning calorimetry and thermogravimetry and polarization corrosion tests cyclic potentiodynamics. The AISI 316L steels in the condition as received and after the heat treatments the obtained microstructures were similar, varying the grain size with the temperature increase. AISI 316L steel in the fast set condition showed a microstructure with columnar dendrite, acircular dendrite and equiaxed dendrite. After the heat treatments of the steel in the condition by rapid solidification, it was observed the formation of equiaxed grains, increase in grain size and the formation of phases such as sigma and chi which are undesirable because they promote the embrittlement and corrosion of the steel. The fast set condition of the AISI 316L steel showed better resistance to pitting corrosion. The duplex stainless steel SAF2205 in the condition as received and after the solubilization treatments presented a ferritic matrix with dispersed lamellae of austenite and the increase of the grain size was observed with the increase of the solubilization temperature. The microstructure in the condition by rapid solidification was of equiaxed ferrite grains and austenite in the contours of the ferrite grains. After the solubilization treatment in the condition by rapid solidification, a ferritic matrix with equiaxed grains, austenite in grain contour, austenite widmänstten and intragranular austenite was obtained. For SAF2205 duplex stainless steel there was no significant variation of pitting potential between the processing routes and the passivation started faster, in the condition as received.

O objetivo deste trabalho foi processar os aços por solidificação rápida, com posterior tratamento térmico. Foram realizadas caracterizações microestruturais nas condições como recebido, por solidificação rápida e nos tratamentos térmicos. A caracterização microestrutural foi realizada através de técnicas como: microscopia ótica, microscopia eletrônica de varredura com análise por dispersão de energia e difração de raios X. Realizou-se medidas de microdureza, análise térmica por calorimetria exploratória diferencial e termogravimetria e ensaios de corrosão por polarização potenciodinâmica cíclica. Os aços AISI 316L na condição como recebido e após os tratamentos térmicos as microestruturas obtidas foram similares, variando o tamanho de grão com o aumento da temperatura. O aço AISI 316L na condição por solidificação rápida apresentou uma microestrutura com dendrita colunar, dendrita acircular e dendrita equiaxial. E após os tratamentos térmicos do aço na condição por solidificação rápida observou-se a formação de grãos equiaxiais, aumento do tamanho do grão e a formação de fases como a sigma e chi que são indesejáveis pelo fato de promoverem a fragilização e a corrosão, do aço. A condição por solidificação rápida do aço AISI 316L apresentou melhor resistência à corrosão por pite. O aço inoxidável duplex SAF2205 na condição como recebido e após os tratamentos de solubilização apresentaram uma matriz ferrítica com lamelas dispersas de austenita e observou-se o aumento do tamanho de grão com o aumento da temperatura da solubilização. A microestrutura na condição por solidificação rápida foi de grãos de ferrita equiaxial e austenita nos contornos dos grãos da ferrita. Após o tratamento de solubilização na condição por solidificação rápida, obteve-se uma matriz ferrítica com grãos equixiais, austenita no contorno de grão, austenita widmänstten e austenita intragranular. Para o aço inoxidável duplex SAF2205 não ocorreu variação significativa do potencial de pite entre as rotas de processamento e a passivação iniciou mais rapidamente, na condição como recebido.application/pdfporUniversidade Federal de AlfenasPrograma de Pós-Graduação em Ciência e Engenharia de MateriaisUNIFAL-MGBrasilInstituto de Ciência e Tecnologiainfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccesshttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/Solidificação rápidaAço inoxidável duplexAço inoxidável austeníticoENGENHARIAS::ENGENHARIA DE MATERIAIS E METALURGICAProcessamento e caracterização dos aços inoxidáveis austenítico AISI 316L e duplex SAF 2205 obtidos por solidificação rápidaProcessing and characterization of austenitic stainless steels AISI 316L and duplex SAF 2205 obtained by rapid solidificationinfo:eu-repo/semantics/masterThesisinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersion-4297417259498638931600600-6537518533376133430reponame:Repositório Institucional da Universidade Federal de Alfenas - RiUnifalinstname:Universidade Federal de Alfenas (UNIFAL)instacron:UNIFALApolinario, Raira CheferORIGINALDissertação_RairaCheferApolinario_2019_PPGCEM.pdfDissertação_RairaCheferApolinario_2019_PPGCEM.pdfProcessamento e caracterização dos aços inoxidáveis austenítico AISI 316L e duplex SAF 2205 obtidos por solidificação rápidaapplication/pdf9136650https://repositorio.unifal-mg.edu.br/bitstreams/37b4e150-60a1-4255-a30a-d2dc65cefce1/download95ab47b630df4f98c2241cd66a431de7MD52LICENSElicense.txtlicense.txttext/plain;
