Resumo: Chronic renal failure is one of the main chronic diseases, considered a worldwide public health problem. Chronic kidney patients who undergo hemodialysis also live a long-term process, which can cause complications, limitations and changes in their daily lives, causing psychological alterations such as anxiety and changes in selfesteem. Thus, the objective of this study is to assess anxiety and self-esteem in chronic kidney patients undergoing hemodialysis in a renal replacement therapy service in a general hospital in a city in the south of Minas Gerais. This is a descriptive-analytical, cross-sectional, quantitative study, with 108 chronic renal patients undergoing hemodialysis. The study was approved by the Research Ethics Committee and data collection took place, through an interview, in the period from November to December 2018, with the following instruments: questionnaire with socioeconomic data, lifestyle and chronic illness, about the illness and treatment and major life events, Anxiety and Depression Scale (anxiety subscale) and Rosenberg's Self-Esteem Scale. For data analysis, descriptive statistics, Cronbach's alpha coefficient, Pearson's chi-square and Fisher's exact tests were used with a significance level of 5%. The odds ratio and logistic regression were estimated. As results, we found the same proportion of males and females, aged over 59 years, married or with partners, Catholics, with up to 2 children, with monthly family income from 1,001 to 2,500 reais. In addition, the time of diagnosis of chronic renal failure was up to two years, most had systemic arterial hypertension as a cause (cause), and up to two years of hemodialysis treatment. Most patients were classified without anxiety, highlighting a small percentage of people with anxiety.It was found that the variables time of hemodialysis treatment, remarkable events in life, monthly family income and type of access to perform hemodialysis showed a statistical association with the measure of anxiety. Most respondents had average self-esteem. However, a relevant percentage of these patients was classified as high self-esteem and a small percentage with low self-esteem. The variables monthly family income and length of treatment on hemodialysis showed a statistical association with the measure of selfesteem. The variables anxiety and self-esteem showed a statistical association, in which chronic kidney patients undergoing hemodialysis with anxiety were more likely to have medium / low self-esteem. It is expected that nursing professionals and the entire multidisciplinary team may be sensitized to provide comprehensive care to chronic kidney patients aiming for a better professional / client interaction, as well as improving the quality of the professional / client / family / institution relationship, to achieve better coping with the disease and treatment. This study can contribute to the development of strategies aimed at humanization and comprehensive care, with the objective of minimizing anxiety and increasing the self-esteem of chronic kidney disease patients during hemodialysis treatment.

Os renais crônicos que realizam o tratamento hemodialítico vivem um processo de longa duração, que pode provocar complicações, limitações e mudanças em seu cotidiano, ocasionando mudanças psíquicas como a ansiedade e alterações na autoestima. Assim, o objetivo deste estudo é avaliar a ansiedade e a autoestima em renais crônicos submetidos ao tratamento hemodialítico em um serviço de terapia renal substitutiva de um hospital geral de um município do Sul de Minas Gerais. Trata-se de um estudo descritivoanalítico, transversal, quantitativo, com 108 renais crônicos submetidos a tratamento hemodialítico. O estudo foi aprovado pelo Comitê de Ética em Pesquisa e a coleta de dados ocorreu, por meio de entrevista, no período de novembro a dezembro de 2018, com os instrumentos: questionário com dados socioeconômicos, hábitos de vida e de doença crônica, sobre a doença e o tratamento e eventos marcantes na vida, Escala de Ansiedade e Depressão (subescala de ansiedade) e Escala de Autoestima de Rosenberg. Para a análise de dados, foram utilizados: estatística descritiva, Coeficiente Alfa de Cronbach, testes Qui-quadrado de Pearson e Exato de Fisher com nível de significância de 5%. Foi estimado o odds ratio e a regressão logística. Como resultados, encontrou-se a mesma proporção do sexo masculino e feminino, com faixa etária acima de 59 anos, casados(as) ou com companheiros(as), católicos(as), com até 2 filhos, com renda familiar mensal de 1.001 a 2.500 reais. Além disso, o tempo de diagnóstico de insuficiência renal crônica foi de até dois anos; a maioria possuía hipertensão arterial sistêmica como etiologia(causa), e até dois anos de tratamento hemodialítico. A maioria dos pacientes foram classificados sem ansiedade, destacando- se um pequeno percentual de pessoas com ansiedade. Constatou-se que as variáveis tempo de tratamento hemodialítico, eventos marcantes na vida, renda familiar mensal e tipo de acesso para a realização de hemodiálise apresentaram associação estatística com a medida da ansiedade. A maior parte dos entrevistados possuía autoestima média. Entretanto, um percentual relevante desses pacientes foi classificado como autoestima alta e um pequeno percentual com autoestima baixa. As variáveis renda familiar mensal e tempo de tratamento em hemodiálise apresentaram associação estatística com a medida da autoestima. As variáveis ansiedade e autoestima apresentaram associação estatística, em que os renais crônicos submetidos ao tratamento hemodialítico com ansiedade tiveram mais chances de apresentar autoestima média/baixa. Espera-se que os profissionais da enfermagem e toda equipe multiprofissional possa se sensibilizar para prestar um atendimento integral ao renal crônico visando à maior interação profissional/cliente, assim como, aperfeiçoar a qualidade da relação profissional/cliente/família/instituição, para alcançar melhor enfrentamento da doença e do tratamento. Este estudo pode colaborar para o desenvolvimento de estratégias que visem à humanização e à integralidade da assistência prestada, com o objetivo de minimizar a ansiedade e aumentar a autoestima dos renais crônicos durante o tratamento hemodialítico.application/pdfporUniversidade Federal de AlfenasPrograma de Pós-Graduação em EnfermagemUNIFAL-MGBrasilEscola de Enfermageminfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccesshttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/Insuficiência renal crônicaUnidades Hospitalares de HemodiáliseAnsiedadeAutoimagemEnfermagem.CIENCIAS DA SAUDE::SAUDE COLETIVAAvaliação da ansiedade e da autoestima em renais crônicos submetidos ao tratamento hemodialíticoinfo:eu-repo/semantics/masterThesisinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersion-3204580530536360493600600-6173167103754495199reponame:Repositório Institucional da Universidade Federal de Alfenas - RiUnifalinstname:Universidade Federal de Alfenas (UNIFAL)instacron:UNIFALSilva, Luciana Jerônimo De AlmeidaLICENSElicense.txtlicense.txttext/plain;
