During the puerperium or postpartum period, the woman goes through several biopsychosocial changes that cause reflexes in her life, which can cause problems related to physical and mental exhaustion that demand strategies for coping. It has been shown that the assistance provided to women during the puerperium may be insufficient, due to gaps in the guidance provided. For that, health education, linked to the use of technologies, is a tool for clarification and for the development of personal and social skills, especially with women during the puerperal period. In this study, the objective was to build a mobile application (APP) with guidelines for women in the puerperium. This is a study of methodological development, qualitative and quantitative, for the production of a mobile application aimed at puerperal women. An integrative literature review was carried out to identify the themes that would comprise the APP; two steps were taken in the process of producing and validating educational health technologies; a deepening of the themes identified in the integrative review; the selection and production of illustrations was carried out, the creation of videos and other strategies; the APP prototype was developed using a hybrid model. The content was stored on an Internet site on the Google platform (sites.google.com), which uses responsive components, that is, which adapt to the screen size of the access device. The mobile application was developed using the Android Studio software (https://developer.android.com/studio) and the Java language, initially only for mobile phones with the Android operating system. The themes identified in the integrative review were: breastfeeding, problems related to mental health, perineal trauma, sexuality and baby care. The composition of the mobile application, regarding the sequences of information, choice of colors, illustrations, creation of videos and organization was carried out by the researchers. For the process of preparing this material, a previous format was produced to facilitate the creation of the content, visualization of the same and the adjustments until the final version. Upon completion, all systematized information for guidance on puerperal problems, as evidenced in the integrative review, was inserted in a virtual environment. After the final version, an APP prototype was developed. When considering that digital technologies can help achieve results in health care processes, it is possible to indicate that the APP created, can provide relevant information about the main problems faced in the postpartum period for the target audience. The production work is one of the stages for the creation of new health care ET, so the study must continue with the validation of the technology produced and the evaluation of its applicability.
