Resumo: In this thesis, we had as object of study the teacher s performance portrayed in Nova Escola magazine, through its editorials (Caro Educador section) and letters from readers (Caixa Postal section). This thematic is justified considering the constant discussions about the teacher, the working conditions, health, discipline, etc., besides being a way to collaborate with a new trend of research that works the existing relationships between language, work and education. Therefore, centered on the theoretical basis of the Social Interactionism by Bakhtin/Voloshinov (2010a), extending to the Social-Discursive Interactionism by Bronckart (2009), and also making use of the theory of the discursive genres (Bakhtin, 1997a/2010b). The methodology, in a dialectical approach, has its basis on Bakhtin's sociological method, given the broad social context and the immediate social context; and on Bronckart s methodological procedures, as the mechanisms of textualization and enunciative mechanisms. In order to select the editorials and readers' letters, we selected, as an initial demarcation of our research, the publication of Nova Escola magazine from October 2009 to October 2010. However, to provide a more detailed study, we elected from that period only four editorials and their respective statements, i.e., readers' letters published in the next issue. Therefore, the analysis addressed the four selected editorials and more 10 testimonies, whose contents were the topics discussed on those editions referent to the editorials. Thus, this study had the objective of contributing to reflections on the acting of the teacher according to the discourses that circulate in the media, doing a survey on the image one has of the teacher. Accordingly, we set the following motivating questions: 1) How are set the image and performance of the teacher in editorials of Nova Escola magazine?, 2) How is the teacher seen/defined in the interactions with the magazine, through letters published in the Caixa Postal section? and 3) Is there a trivialization of the teacher's work in the analyzed texts?. The results presented in the analysis assert that the discourse in the editorials (editor s letters) aims at a performance of the teacher in the sense that he or she uses the contents of the publication in their classroom or a school context in general. With regard to the readers' letters, we found, in the voice of the reader, a reproduction of the magazine s discourse reinforcing what was said in the previous issue.

Tal temática justifica-se tendo em vista as constantes discussões sobre professor, condições de trabalho, saúde, indisciplina, etc, além de ser uma maneira de colaborar com uma nova tendência de pesquisa a qual trabalha as relações existentes entre linguagem, trabalho e educação. Para tanto, tomamos como embasamento teórico o Interacionismo Social de Bakhtin/Voloshinov (2010a), com extensão para o Interacionismo Sociodiscursivo de Bronckart (2009) e, ainda, fazendo uso da teoria dos gêneros discursivos (BAKHTIN, 1997a/2010b). A metodologia, de abordagem dialética, possui fundamento no método sociológico de Bakhtin, tendo em vista o contexto social amplo e o contexto social imediato; e nos procedimentos metodológicos de Bronckart, conforme os mecanismos de textualização e os mecanismos enunciativos. A fim de selecionar os editoriais e as cartas dos leitores, tomamos como recorte inicial de nossa pesquisa o período de publicação de Nova Escola, de outubro de 2009 a outubro de 2010. Porém, para oferecer um estudo mais aprofundado, selecionamos apenas quatro editoriais desse período e seus respectivos depoimentos, ou seja, cartas dos leitores publicadas na edição seguinte. Portanto, as análises abordaram os quatro editoriais selecionados e mais 10 depoimentos, cujos conteúdos foram os temas discutidos nas edições referentes aos editoriais. Assim, a dissertação teve como objetivo geral contribuir com reflexões sobre o agir do professor conforme os discursos que circulam na mídia, fazendo um levantamento sobre a imagem que se tem do professor. Nesse sentido, partimos das seguintes questões motivadoras: 1) Como se configura a imagem e o agir do professor em editoriais da Revista Nova Escola?; 2) Como o professor se vê/se define em situações de interação com a Revista, por meio de cartas publicadas na seção Caixa Postal?; e 3) Existe uma banalização do trabalho do professor nos textos analisados?. Os resultados apresentados nas análises dão conta de afirmar que o discurso presente nos editoriais (cartas do editor) visa a um agir do professor no sentido de que ele utilize os conteúdos da publicação na própria sala de aula ou num contexto escolar de forma geral. Com relação às cartas dos leitores, encontramos, na voz do leitor, a reprodução do discurso da Revista ao reiterar aquilo que foi dito na edição anterior.Made available in DSpace on 2017-07-10T18:56:33Z (GMT).
