Resumo: The present work seeks to understand the recent movements on the oil and gas national chain, in particular in the service and equipment supply industry for the oil sector, after the Lava Jato Operation and the 2016 coup, from the theory of imperialism. The centrality of the national question is analyzed inside the theory of imperialism and the relevance of this theory to the comprehension of the resurgence of United States action on before subordinates territories in a moment of profound geopolitical changes where the Lava Jato Operation and other non-conventional initiatives of external intervention on Latin America benefited american interests. The geopolitical importance of the oil industry and service and equipment supply industry for the oil sector in the world is analyzed, as well as yours evolution in Brazil, as part of an effort for the national development through Petrobras. Differences in government policies in a context of pressure from external interests, in special from the US, where the local content policy achieve an important role on the Lula and Dilma governments to create and strengthen an national service and equipment supply industry for the oil sector. Finally, it was verified that the context generated by the Lava Jato Operation and the 2016 coup profoundly benefited american enterprises from the service and equipment supply industry for the oil sector.

Analisa-se a centralidade da questão nacional dentro da teoria do imperialismo e a relevância desta teoria para a compreensão do recrudescimento da ação estadunidense sobre territórios antes subalternos em um momento de profundas mudanças geopolíticas, em que a Lava Jato e outras iniciativas não convencionais de intervenção externa na América Latina beneficiaram interesses americanos. Analisa-se a importância geopolítica da indústria petroleira e para-petroleira no mundo, bem como sua evolução no Brasil como parte de um esforço pelo desenvolvimento nacional por meio da Petrobras. São observadas as diferenças de políticas governamentais, em um contexto de pressão de interesses externos, em especial dos EUA, em que a política de conteúdo local cumpre papel importante nos governos Lula e Dilma para criar e fortalecer uma indústria para petroleira nacional.
