Resumo: | The study aimed to understand the implementation of the New Secondary Education and the new configuration of the Physical Education curricular component based on the implementation of the Gaúcho Curricular Framework. The research used a qualitative approach, including two phases: Documentary research based on the Gaúcho Curricular Reference and the Notebook of the Paths of Deepening Languages and their Technologies, utilizing thematic content analysis. Exploratory descriptive study in six state high school schools. Data collection involved semi-structured interviews with school managers and Physical Education teachers.The findings indicated that Physical Education loses curricular hours in the new teaching model, and related in-depth trail components prioritize the work of other professionals in the Language Area over the Physical Education teacher. Key interview results highlighted the need for more solid training on the new curriculum , along with the lack of time for implementation, lack of consultation with the school community, imposition by the supporting entity, disregard for autonomy of schools and teachers, overload of teachers, and the disregard for curricular components like Physical Education. |

A pesquisa utilizou abordagem qualitativa, dividida em dois momentos: Pesquisa documental no RCG e no Caderno das Trilhas de Aprofundamento de Linguagens e suas Tecnologias, usando análise de conteúdo temática. Estudo descritivo exploratório em seis escolas estaduais de Ensino Médio de um município do Rio Grande do Sul. A coleta de dados envolveu entrevistas semiestruturadas com seis gestores e nove professores de EF.Os resultados documentais mostraram que a EF perde carga horária e que os componentes de trilha de aprofundamento relacionados à EF priorizam a atuação de outros profissionais da Área de Linguagens ao invés do professor de EF.
