Currently, Pedagogical Innovation practices are reported at Science Fairs, through educational activities conceived through decisions made by all those involved in the process, seeking changes in the way knowledge is constructed and organized. However, through a bibliographic analysis, we found that there is little research on student protagonism at Science Fairs. The general objective of this research is to verify whether “Student protagonism is present at Science Fairs from the perspective of Pedagogical Innovation?”. The study and data analysis took place at the XII Science Fair of the Unipampa Bagé Campus (RS). The subjects participating in the research were the students who received highlights at the XII Unipampa Science Fair at the Bagé Campus, in the High School category. The data for this research were the videos of the works sent to the fair coordinators. The videos were analyzed in the light of the theoretical references of Pedagogical Innovation, with the aim of ascertaining whether it is possible to verify whether student protagonism is present at Science Fairs from the perspective of Pedagogical Innovation. As for the research methodology, it was a descriptive exploratory case study of a qualitative nature. As for the means of investigation, the research used the primary source documentary analysis technique to analyze data and information of a qualitative nature. We analyzed the videos in which we identified elements of protagonism in each video, and as a final part we identified indicators of Pedagogical Innovation. Based on this, we can say that student protagonism in Science Fairs is present in Science Fairs from the perspective of Pedagogical Innovation with an emancipatory bias, since students take an active role in the learning process.
