Rua Josué Guimarães, nº 81: biblioteca, pretend to understand the process of written creation by the author Josué Guimarães and his way of reading to compose the book Depois do último trem (1973). The research involved a holding in the library Josué Guimarães, located in the city of Canela, Rio Grande do Sul and a cataloguing of initial collection of his books. During this cataloguing and the process of research, we found the correlation between intertextual work Depois do último trem and the books at A Hora dos Ruminantes (1966) by José J. Veiga, and Pedro Páramo (1955), by Juan Rulfo. The first, located in the library of the author, will be at this study called the present narrative; the second, from the mexican author, is not between the books of Josué Guimarães, will be called the unpresented narrative. The theories are based on the study of intertextuality and associate to studies of reading and dialogism, language and interaction, and multilingualism in novel. From these relations, whereas that approximates the narrative Depois do último trem and works referred to, as well here, it will be worked notions about the fantastic, from the theories of Furtado. Linked to the line of research Produção e Recepção do Texto Literário, do PPGL/UPF, this research intends to do an incursion in environment for the creation of the writer, between their sources, their books and the supposed readings involving his creative process
