This dissertation aims to analyze the relationships between the Sexual Division of Labor and Domestic and Intrafamily Violence Against Women within the context of the family relationships among graduating students at the Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia do Paraná, Campus Avançado Barracão. Based on historicaldialectical materialism, from a perspective of totality, and using intersectionality as an epistemic and political instrument of analysis, this study examines connections between Domestic and Intrafamily Violence Against Women and the overload of work for women due to the obligation of reproductive labour and domestic work, highlighting the use of time related to technological artifacts to carry out these works, and the increase in tension in homes due to this overload and demand on women. This research, which involved the participation of 52 students from the universe of active enrollees in the second semester of 2022 and in the final year of the integrated Technical High School courses in Administration (4th year) and Computer Science (3rd year), is of a qualitative nature and includes both quantitative and qualitative data collection in the field, conducted at two distinct points in time: through a virtual questionnaire and the facilitation of focus groups. The results demonstrated the presence of violence against women in the family units of the surveyed students, and the reports highlighted connections between the Sexual Division of Labor and Domestic and Intrafamily Violence Against Women. The research also revealed that the stereotype of the “Amélia” has been deconstructed over time, emphasizing the historical resistance of women and the ongoing need to fight for more equitable social configurations. The core of this work lies in confronting the specific conditions imposed on women by a capitalist, racist, and cis-heteropatriarchal society, which act as obstacles not only to the emancipation of women but to all of humanity.
