Resumo: Clinical Engineering is responsible for the preventive maintenance of medical equipment in hospital units. It happens that in most hospitals preventive maintenance is empirically programmed manually, which ends up not providing the optimal solution for the equitable distribution of tasks during the year, causing a variable demand for labor. The objective of the present work is the use of a mathematical tool to reorganize preventive maintenance (fixed activities) of hospital units, with the consequent possibility of optimizing the workforce in the Clinical Engineering sectors. Integer Linear Programming (ILP) techniques are used, with the inclusion of restrictions related to collaborators, preventive schedules and frequency, implemented in the Lingo 18.0 solver. To validate the model, information obtained from 4 hospital units served by the same outsourced company in the city of Curitiba, Paraná, is used, making it possible to compare the model’s solution with information from the current situation. The optimal solution provided by the modeling confirms that there is great scope for optimization of the tasks and personnel of the Clinical Engineering with implantation of the best possible resulting solution, considering the established restrictions.

Ocorre que em grande parte dos hospitais as manutenções preventivas são programadas empiricamente de forma manual, o que acaba por não fornecer a solução ótima quanto à distribuição equânime das tarefas durante o ano, ocasionando uma demanda variável de mão de obra. O objetivo do presente trabalho é a utilização de ferramenta matemática para reorganização das manutenções preventivas (atividades fixas) de unidades hospitalares, com a consequente possibilidade de se otimizar o quadro de colaboradores dos setores de Engenharia Clínica. São utilizadas técnicas de Programação Linear Inteira (PLI), com inclusão das restrições relacionadas aos colaboradores, horários e periodicidade das preventivas, implementado no solver Lingo 18.0. Para validação do modelo são utilizadas informações obtidas de 4 unidades hospitalares atendidas pela mesma empresa terceirizada na cidade de Curitiba, Paraná, possibilitando a confrontação da solução do modelo com as informações da situação vigente.
