Resumo em Inglês: This study aims evaluate the application of Functional Analytic Psychotherapy to an adolescent serving the social-educational measure of community service. A single-case quasi experimental AB design filled that extent. The A condition referring to evaluation and case formulation, without any intervention planned, and the B condition of applying Functional Analytic Psychotherapy. The criteria for evaluating modifying behavior were the increase in desirable behaviour (expression of positive feelings, the expression of genuine repentance, self-revelation); the decrease in undesirable behavior (hostility, lying, blaming others for their own acts) and permanence in school, professional training activities and psychotherapy, as planned in the Statute of the Child and Adolescent. The adolescent participated in ten 50 minutes-long psychotherapy sessions, performed weekly and individually, the psychotherapy needed to be interrupted because the adolescent suffered an agression. The Parenting Style Inventory, the Youth Self Report and the Child Behavior Checklist were used to evaluate the adolescent. The Target Behavior Assessment System aims to verify the results of the intervention and the Functional Analytic Psychotherapy Rating Scale. Data was presented by means of figures representing the therapeutic process. Results show that clinically relevant behaviors were seen more frequently in phase B than in the evaluation phase (A). The average of desirable behaviors was bigger than the undesirable behaviors in evaluated sessions of phase B. In regards to intervention with this adolescent who were serving probation, some caracteristics of this population have been noticed, such as the lack of family encouragement, difficulty to get to the place where psychotherapy was held, and poor adherence to treatment, which are compromising to the development of the intervention.

Para isso foi utilizado um delineamento quasi experimental AB. A condição A referindo-se a avaliação e formulação do caso, sem nenhuma intervenção programada, e a condição B com a utilização da Psicoterapia analítica funcional - FAP. Os critérios para avaliação de modificação de comportamentos foram: o aumento de comportamentos desejáveis (expressão de sentimentos positivos, expressão de arrependimento genuíno, autorrevelação), e a diminuição de comportamentos indesejáveis (hostilidade, mentira, culpar os outros pelos próprios atos) e permanência na escola, ingresso em atividades de profissionalização e psicoterapia, medidas estas previstas no ECA. As sessões foram semanais, individuais e com duração de 50 minutos cada, totalizando 10 sessões, pois o participante sofreu uma agressão que o impossibilitou de prosseguir na terapia. Foram utilizados o Inventário de Estilos Parentais – IEP , o Inventário de Autoaplicação para Adolescentes (Youth Self Report – YSR e o Inventário dos comportamentos de crianças e adolescentes entre 6 e 18 anos (Child Behavior Checklist – CBCL) para caracterização do adolescente. Para a categorização das sessões um instrumento formado por categorias de comportamentos do terapeuta e do cliente a Functional Analytic Psychotherapy Rating Scale – FAPRS e o Sistema de Comportamentos alvo do Cliente. Os dados foram apresentados por meio de figuras que descrevem o desenvolvimento do processo terapêutico. Os resultados evidenciam que os comportamentos clinicamente relevantes aconteceram com maior frequência na fase B comparando com a fase de avaliação (A). A média de comportamentos adequados foi superior à de comportamentos inadequados nas sessões avaliadas da fase B.
