Fundamentado nos aportes da teologia prática e da antropologia bíblica, o primeiro capítulo visa apresentar o conceito de poimênica associando-o a expressão “cuidado integral” para melhor entendimento do leitor, procurando demostrar por meio desse conceito a vocação do ser humano ao cuidado que é integral, pois o ser humano é um ser integral. Ainda no primeiro capítulo, recorre-se à teologia bíblica para entender a finalidade da existência do ser humano e a peculiaridade da imago Dei que revelam a intenção divina para com sua criatura especial: o ser humano. Em seguida, o segundo capítulo trata de investigar a vida de Jesus desde a encarnação até a cruz, lançando um olhar mais apurado sobre a experiência de Jesus com a mulher no poço de Samaria, para de sua vida e seu agir poimênico com as pessoas extrair as base para o modelo de cuidado que se apresente como a vocação primordial de todo ser humano. Por fim, o capitulo final busca, primeiramente, traçar um panorama atual da sociedade onde a Igreja de Cristo se encontra para daí propor uma nova abordagem ao conceito de poimênica que extrapole ações remediativas, que estabeleça uma percepção holística da vida humana e de toda criação e desafia a Igreja a assumir sua vocação ao cuidado integral.This bibliographic research, with emphasis in the areas of Biblical and Practical Theology, is about poimenics, beginning with its development based on the life of Jesus Christ and from this proposes a new approach to its concept in theology and in the daily life of the Christian. Substantiated by resources from practical theology and from biblical anthropology, the first chapter aims at presenting the concept of poimenics associating it with the expression. “wholistic care” for the reader to better understand it, seeking to demonstrate through this concept the vocation of the human being for care-giving which is wholistic, since the human being is a whole being. Still in the first chapter, one remits to biblical theology to understand the goal of the existence of the human being and the peculiarity of the imago Dei which reveal the divine intention for God’s special creature: the human being. Next, the second chapter investigates the life of Jesus from his incarnation up to the cross, taking a deeper look at the experience of Jesus with the woman at the well in Samaria, so as to extract from his life and his poimenical action the basis for a model of caring which presents itself as the prime vocation of every human being.
