This research aimed to make a survey of triatomines in Quirinópolis - GO city (2005-2010) to identify the species and evaluate the urbanization of these vectors resulting from environmental changes that occurred after the installation of sugarcane power plants (São Francisco and Boa Vista) that replaced the traditional farming of grain, chiefly corn and soybeans, with sugarcane monoculture. The study are a had four rural regions (Bruacas, Pedra Lisa, Salgado e Sete Lagoas) and 31 districts in urban area. The qualitative / quantitative method was used and the research methodology comprised field work and analysis of the forms of the Program for the Control of Human Chagas Disease (PCHCD), exclusive of FUNASA. The data relating to agriculture and demographic density was obtained from the Company of Technical Assistance and Rural Extension (EMATER) and the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE), respectively, since the epidemiological studies on Chagas Disease (CD) were obtained from the Information System of Diseases and Notification (SINAN), the Municipal Health secretary and local medical laboratories. The analysis of the results were through descriptive statistics. Through the entomological survey 2.925 triatomines were identified and divided into seven species, from whict, two are endemic of Cerrado: Triatoma sordida and Rhodnius neglectus and five non endemic species: Panstrongylus diasi, Triatoma brasiliensis, Panstrongylus megistus, Panstrongylus geniculatus and Triatoma williami. The specimens were captured into and peridomestic environment of rural and urban areas. From these 15 specimens of T. sordida and two specimens of R. neglectus were positive to T. cruzi. It was also possible to identify 381 cases of CD and one case of Acute Chagas Desease (ACD) reported by SINAN in the period (2005-2010).
