This study had verify that the absence of Public Policies on drugs, programs or other continuous and effective measures in the awareness of the functional and health harms resulting from the use, possession and trafficking of drugs by young soldiers (18 to 21 years old) in the scope of the Forces Armed companies have contributed to the increase in military crimes of this nature and others related, as well as to the state criminal sanction and even imprisonment, especially of soldiers who are in compulsory military service. The study of existing measures and activities developed by Military Prosecution Office at Curitiba city, as a partner agency in carrying out resolving actions and a “social (local) prevention project”, with the direct participation of organized civil society (Third Sector) and volunteers (collaborators and supporters), has proven to be effective social and citizenship actions in crime prevention, which can support the elaboration of public policies on drugs in the sector of the Armed Forces, without revealing the safeguarding of the principles of hierarchy and military discipline.
