Resumo: Discussions around the rights of people with disabilities have been a topic of great relevance in recent decades, since, from the constant struggle of this segment in search of citizenship, it has resulted in significant social changes promoting the right to access education, health and public policies that guarantee this significant portion of the population the right to exist with dignity as a constitutional and legalistic guarantee. In this sense, it was necessary to highlight that in addition to these achievements, it would be necessary to advance even more, it was not enough just the legal guarantee, it is necessary to guarantee the real right of access of people with disabilities to institutional and urban spaces, equipment, furniture and consequently to information. In this prerogative, it is worth highlighting the accessibility conditions of the environments of educational institutions, one of these environments are the libraries, characterized as a place of integration and social interaction and coexistence of diversity. In view of this, this research aims to analyze the accessibility conditions of the multilevel libraries of the Federal Institute of Education of Maranhão from the perspective of librarians and how they have been organized to ensure the accessibility and inclusion of users with disabilities in their academic community, considering the aspects that are characterized within the categories that favor the full compliance with the minimum conditions of architectural accessibility proclaimed by the NBR 9050/2020, specific legislation that guides the adequacy of physical spaces, furniture, mobility and signage of buildings, as well as highlighting the aspects that favor the full meeting of the informational needs of users with disabilities in the context of information accessibility. This is research, methodologically characterized by being descriptive of applied nature with a qualitative-quantitative approach, since it intends to describe the phenomenon under analysis while it needs to numerically measure the meanings of the phenomena studied, the data were collected through a structured questionnaire with questions related to the identification of accessibility conditions in libraries in the light of the legislation. The data were analyzed, with regard to the conditions of architectural accessibility, through the direct relationship of full compliance with the items researched with what is evidenced in NBR 9050/2020 and the Manual of Accessibility Adaptations of the Ministry of Human Rights and, as for informational accessibility, they were analyzed by the parameters established by the guiding manual of accessible and inclusive libraries. The result of the data analysis showed that the accessibility conditions of IFMA libraries are not adequate to what is described in NBR 9050/2020 and in the manual of accessible and inclusive libraries, even though one or another unit is concerned with physical accessibility, but lacks informational materials in accessible format, most of them do not have assistive technologies to favor the use of materials mainly by people with visual impairments, In the case of deaf students, the barrier imposed on them is in communication with the team of library professionals, since not all professionals testify to qualifications in Libras, these evidences can impact on meeting the informational needs of library users with disabilities.
