Resumo: This master's thesis examines how the undergraduate programs at the Federal University of Goiás (UFG) have adapted to meet the requirements of Law 10.639/2003. The aim is to understand how subjects related to Education for Ethnic-Racial Relations (ERER), as well as African and Afro-Brazilian history and culture, are taught in various departments and colleges at the university. The theoretical framework focuses on decolonial and anti-racist perspectives, considering the colonial structures and racial issues that shape Brazilian society. This study includes contributions from Black authors. The research involved analyzing documents such as the National Education Guidelines (LDB 9394/96), Law 10.639/2003, along with other educational resolutions and curriculum guidelines. The political-pedagogical projects of UFG's undergraduate courses were also examined, particularly concerning ERER and Afro-Brazilian history. The analysis indicated that while significant progress has been made in establishing affirmative policies, practical implementation remains lacking due to the absence of a requirement for anti-racist courses in the curriculum. Transforming the Brazilian education system into a truly inclusive and anti-racist environment continues to be a major challenge, as the colonial legacy still influences perceptions of Black individuals as inferior, marginalizing their culture and knowledge.

Transforming the Brazilian education system into a truly inclusive and anti-racist environment continues to be a major challenge, as the colonial legacy still influences perceptions of Black individuals as inferior, marginalizing their culture and knowledge.Nesta dissertação analisa-se como os cursos de licenciatura da Universidade Federal de Goiás (UFG) se organizaram para atender às demandas impostas pela Lei 10.639/2003, visando compreender como são implementadas as disciplinas atravessadas pela Educação para as Relações Étnico Raciais (ERER), história ou cultura africana e afro-brasileira nas unidades acadêmicas, isto é, diferentes institutos e faculdades que compõem esta universidade. Tem-se como fundamentação teórica a temática decolonial e antirracista, amparada na compreensão das estruturas coloniais e na questão da raça, que moldam a sociedade brasileira. Sendo assim, foram incorporadas vozes e perspectivas de autores e autoras negras. A partir disso fez-se o levantamento e análise de documentos como: a Lei de Diretrizes e Bases da Educação Nacional (LDB 9394/96); a Lei 10.639/2003; a Resolução do Conselho Nacional de Educação (CNE/CP 01/2004); o decreto 6755/2009; as Diretrizes Curriculares Nacionais (DCNs) para a Educação das Relações Étnico-Raciais e para o Ensino de História e Cultura Afro-Brasileira e Africana; o Plano Nacional de Implementação das Diretrizes Curriculares Nacionais para a Educação das Relações Étnico-raciais e para o Ensino de História e Cultura Afro-Brasileira e Africana; os projetos político-pedagógicos dos cursos de licenciatura da UFG, as matrizes curriculares e as ementas das disciplinas transpassadas pela ERER, história (afro)brasileira e africana. A partir desta análise foi percebido que, embora tenham sido realizados avanços significativos na formulação e implementação de políticas afirmativas, há falta de efetividade prática, já que não há obrigatoriedade, na matriz curricular, de cursar as disciplinas relacionadas à temática antirracista. A efetiva transformação do sistema educacional brasileiro em um espaço verdadeiramente inclusivo e antirracista ainda se mostra uma meta desafiadora.
