With the boom in new communication possibilities in the last years with the New Information and Communication Technologies, also is born the Augmented Reality, a technology based in the addition of an informational layer over a real world image, also being possible sound interferences. This essay will see this issue with a phenomenological eye, seeking to clarify which is the ontological place for the Augmented Reality inside the constitution of the being in the world. To discuss the relationship between the being, the world and technology, it was necessary to dedicate this study to the theory only, using mostly the work of Martin Heidegger and Hans-Georg Gadamer. This work ended reaffirming many ideas from the phenomenology as they were confronted with the Augmented Reality, such as the Dasein and its main characteristics: the spatiality and temporality. The Daseins time in the augmented Reality is the present time, and its spatiality is manifested mostly in its decay while using the technology. The Dasein has a strong relationship with the world and it learns the world by living it. Therefore, the AR can interfere in the Daseins learning process. With an Augmented Reality interpretation from the perspective of the being, we can say that this technology serves as an instrument to bring new beings to the Daseins world, placing it in the limit of the Being horizon opening. Such a technology makes possible a modification in the subject’s comprehension of the world, extending it with a cultural layer. The Augmented Reality provides an interaction between world and circumvision that is unique, that allows the approach of virtual elements towards the Dasein, which usually is willing. It is important that we think these new technologies from the philosophy point of view to comprehend the modifications that they bring to our culture and life.
